Things Hookahforum Has Taught Me

Recommended Posts

1. this forum is filled with lots of people who love to help others, and this is the best forum ever!
2. naturals are the way to go, quicklights are for the road, unless you have a portable stove!
3. phunnel bowl, nuff said.
4. its not the baccy or the coals or the bowl. its the person packing that makes a good session.
5. more is not always better

1. The things that you thought were the best things in the world with hookah last month suck this month. (ballerina, quick lights, metal screen, ect for me)

1) Posting in HF isn't all that scary.
2) Just choose naturals.
3) KM's are amazing even if I went with a 2 hose.
4) Try a brand once and have your opinion on it.

most of the "important" stuff ive learned came from meeting eric in person. his knowledge is vast.

ive learned too many people think they know hookahs really well when they in fact are clueless

Simply put, everything. I came here after smoking twice with a guy who took the tobacco out of the package and jsut threw it in the bowl with no regard as to how much was in there, toss foil on it, poke 4 rows of holes right in the middle with a fork and toss a QL on it.

I quickly learned this was not the best way.

More specifically the forum has taught me a few things.

1. dont over analyze when smoking tangeirs. Just let it happen.
2. you can get smoke out of what ever you want to get smoke out of if you know how.
3. take it easy.

What I've learned?

1. That other brands besides fusion and starbuzz exist.
2. Phunnels rock my socks.
3. Getting in contact with Eric to make my pilgrimage to SD. smile.gif Planning a return trip now. haha
4. Natural coals are the way to go.
5. How to freaking pack a bowl in the first place.
6. How to clean a hookah/hose/black stuff from phunnels.
7. People are just as passionate about their go-to smokes as they are about their lives. tongue.gif

I've learned quite a bit and don't want to type it all. haha

1 Shisha: So much shisha, so little time.
2 Bowls: So many bowls, so little time.
3 Charcoal: So many charcoals, so little time.
4 Hookahs: So many hookahs, so little money!

I live to experiment and read the forum.

1) Everyone has their go-to flavor and brand when it's been a hard day, and most people will not agree with it.
2) No one likes the same things the same way.
3) You should seek to understand rather than agree.

1) Like life, HF has fads that come and go.
2) People like different shisha, even if you think it's low quality. Doesn't make them any less of a hookah smoker, they just have different tastes.
3) There will be a new Tangiers related thread every 2 days without fail.
4) People will always ask for opinions on things that are already reviewed, because they seem to think that a review in a regular thread is somehow worth more than a review in the review section.
5) Hookah vendors (with those one or two exceptions) are really cool dudes who like hookah and live for hookah - this is not just some business that they own, they're personally invested in it.
6) Our mini-phunnel buy, though full of drama - is still 1/10th the crap and drama of other forums.
7) I smoke out of my mini EVERY DAY
