I Want A Good Sized Hookah Best Quality I Can...

Any suggestions.
I have been smoking off of my friends three hoser.
I am thinking about get a six. I usually have about five people over when I smoke.
Does the amount of hoses affect the session?

Any advice as to what type, what size, what are your favorites?

More hoses can mean a harder draw. Honestly one of the parts of sitting in a group smoking, is passing the hose. I promise its worth it to have less hoses and a better quality.

As for a hookah sub $200, as always i suggest Mya If you still want more hoses, you can get a Mya Paragon, which is a 33in hookah, with 4 hoses for under $200. For $10 over your limit you can get the Mya Gyro 4 hose, or 3 hose for under $200.

The Paragon might be my next hookah, and i have smoked out of it before and it has a good draw, and is as with most myas, very good quality. Granted that was only a 2 hose version.

Oh and a little tip, if you want, you can buy a Mya with fewer hose ports then you want, and get some extra ports for cheap, and change up how many hoses to suit the situation.

Stick to a single hose man. They work much better and you get the whole traditional appeal of passing around the hose. And if you ever want to smoke alone you dont have to use every appendage to block the remaining hoses.

Mod it by popping out the ball bearing and putting in a plastic BB pellet, and we've got a winner. As for work much better, thats kinda subjective. My first was a 3 hose MZ from social smoke, and even putting it up against my best single hose hookahs, it hits like a champ. If you have a whole lot of people, even with more hoses you are still passing the hose around.

Ice Chillers hark back to the arguments of ice water vs warm water. With ice you get thicker clouds as you condense more of the vapor, but you also deaden the flavor. With warm water you get more flavor, and i still say thinner smoke. The ice chiller does work, and i had some good times with a friends ice chiller hookah, but I've never seen one that didn't leak. Ice water in the base is a better bet.

While i do really like my phunnel, its not the be all end all of smoking. Not all tobaccos really benefit from it, as Eric made it specifically for his tobacco. Now having said that, i keep 3 tangiers phunnels, 1 small, 1 medium, and 1 large, so i have all session sizes and lengths covered. But i also have a few SS bowls with me for other sessions, especially when im out like at our jobsite smoking with my friend who stays out there to do security for us at night.

I do suggest at least having a small one around, especially if you plan on smoking tangiers. Many of the forums favorite sites sell the real tangiers phunnels, like mnhookah.com.

if the pipe is used for stationary smoking. i would say go with the single hose KM. you will not be disappointed. period. if you plan on moving around a lot, i would suggest a MYA acrylic. if you're a stubborn ass who moves around a lot, and dead set on a multihose i would suggest a MYA acrylic multi hose. if you're a stubborn ass who only smokes at home, i would suggest any other mya multihose.

i'm not at all a fan of multi hose pipes. that being said i know that this is a free country and people have a right to their opinions - even if the opinions are wrong. damn. to me, the best multi hose will be a mya, it has the auto seal feature - which no handmade pipe egyptian pipe has. without the auto-seal, the people who aren't smoking have to put their thumbs over the hose to allow the person who is smoking to get a decent draw.

phunnels. Eric (the tangiers guy) came up with the idea. his phunnels are handmade out of crazy sturdy material that conducts heat the most efficient out of just about any other head out there. I will never tell anyone (who wants a phunnel) to buy any other phunnel than the original Tangiers phunnel. i've dropped mine at least a couple times from about 3' up on hardwood floors without so much as a chip.

also, don't forget about buying a good wide, preferably washable hose. something like a nammor or razan hose will last and wont rust out like most other hoses will. having a good, quality pipe with a wide ID is worth a fuck all if all of that is constricted by some shitty narrow hose.

a good pipe, hose, and phunnel head will give you one of the best setups around, hands down. and the good flavor of a great tobacco can be easily tainted and ruined by cheap quick lighting coals, do yourself a favor and go with naturals - your sessions will be the best around.
