PhxKarma
Has anyone ever seen or heard of a hookah lounge on the beach? I might be moving to California, and I had a interesting idea to open a hookah bar right on the beach, where you can take the hookah out and sit on the sand with it. I am thinking of building some sort of base where you can bury it in the sand so it stands without a problem. What do you guys think?

Smoking a hookah can definitely be an eyecatcher that young people would be willing to pay for. Think it has potential but some practical issues need to be tended to. ilikemyusername
I've smoked on the beach, when its calm its very nice to smoke, but the wind kills your clouds.
PhxKarma
Wind Covers would be a must. I think I would run into problems considering most poeple don't smoke hookah during the day, and not many people hit up the beach at night unless you're like me and enjoy it better at night. mushrat
Cool idea. I see a few issues.Keeping people from walking off with the hookahs, keeping people from sneaking NHT into their hookahs, sand in everything, people wandering by and joining the existing smokers instead of getting their own.But if you can cover those issues I'd say keep at the idea. Well not the NHT thing... didn't think of that one. But yeah sand and hookahs disappearing.Maybe like a Roped off area next to your hookah bar where they can sit. PSU Smoker
damn that sucks...as far as people walking off with your hookah all you have to do is take down their info and a credit card...no hookah at the end of the day simply charge em and buy yourself a nice new hookah. sand although a pain in the ass could be delt with with lots of cleaning...hoses would be your biggest issue on that matter. I dont really think you can do much about people joining others already smoking unless u charged entrance to a designated hookah area but honestly you'll only fit so many people on a hookah...enjoyably at least. Your biggest issue would remain with NHT, I suppose you could get a kit testing for Illegal chemicals, if it was present in the hookah upon its return you could refuse the hookah and charge the customer for itEdited by Indian Villager: Edited to remove an unsafe word. It was innocent enough methinks.

I mean on any regular day I'd have to agree that my hookah smoking is indeed usually at night. However when chilling on the beach I would love to have a hookah next to my chair while relaxing even if its 100 fucking degrees outside and little kids are getting my blanket all sandy
Doubon
would you be able to buy/lease beachfront property intended for commercial use? how much would that cost?+1 for ilikemyusername... wind is a bother.
Moefasaaa
i go to school 20 minutes from the beach, and looooove going there at night and lighting it up. it's awesome...super chill. If you do it during the day when it's busy, you always get dirty looks but...people have to be fucked in the head to think you're gonna have the balls to light up NHT in a hookah pipe in broad daylight
