scratchy
So our local Cigar shop started stocking Sinbad shisha. I've never heard of this German made baccy, so decided to pick up a box of Tutti Frutti.Man am I glad I did. First of, the packaging is great. It opens like a cigarette box with the foil baggy all shiny nested inside. Smelling the bag leaves you disappointed as no smell emits from it. The best part of hookah for me is going into the shop and smelling which flavour I want. Weird, but true.Once opened, the smell is fantastic. It smells just like a guava roll, I love it.The cut is very very fine and packed loosely in the baggy. Very nice, because I find it smokes better sprinkled. The dye is a little over the top with the baccy being blood red, but man, the smell just makes up for it.I packed it loosely in my Egyptian with 2 x 1/2 Al Hind coals and it started up right away. Huge, HUGE rolling clouds. Smooth as silk and lingers for ages. By far the best aspect of Sinbad. The flavour is where some of my concern comes in. It tastes fantastic, but neglect your heat for 5 minutes and it starts tasting like burnt dog shit. I repacked a bowl and shifted my coals around every 2 minutes and the flavour kept strong for 30 minutes before slowly dropping of. Not such a huge concern to me as I don't smoke for very long anyway. Besides, I get bored of a flavour 10 minutes into the bowl. There was a distinct Nak fruit flavour to it(smoke some Nak strawberry, peach or cherry and you'll know what I mean) Very fruity and gentle, yet strong flavour. Sort of like a gauva and strawberry fruit roll. Very niceIt is a washed tobacco which means zero buzz, but once again, this sits well with me as 90% of the time I'm either writing up a column or reading. All in all, being cheaper than Nak, it's very good and seems like a quality shisha. It might be my new go to depending on how the other flavours compare. Hell, if they suck, I'll just buy them and sit there smelling it all day

Sonthert
Thats strange. There's a Sinbad tobacco based out of the US, imported from the UAE...it couldn't be German if its got more than 5% glycerine...
ilikemyusername
i picked up some sinbad quicklights from my local shop, they're triangular shaped with an "s" on them, it looks serpentine, they're not bad for a ql, but they still suck because they're ql's

Sonthert
Well, Scratchy's in Namibia (although his IP says Norway today) and the tobacco is from Germany. I would guess a plane ticket is necessary.

gruver
In the pic, the label says sindbad, with the extra D in there. I found a couple of german sites with sindbad listed. Haven't polished up on my german in a few years though.
AKammenzind
Did a little looking in the german forums and there aren't really any reviews that I can find, but did find a few threads... very mixed reviews. Like AF Grape mixed, only more polarized. One post will be all like "Best shisha evar! GG!" then the next will rant about how it's utter crap and the lowest tier of shisha out there. Beats me really. Have seen a couple posts about how the foreign versions of it are reported to be good, but the german can not smoke.

scratchy
This stuff is everywhere i look now. Talk about market penetration. Stuie- when you try it, let it acclimate for a few hours. The smoke becomes thinner, but the flavour improves 10 fold
