Problem

Well had a session earlier today again and I got new coals called Starlight. I wasnt sure if it was QL but I still heated it up with a lighter. It worked but it heated up slower than the coals I had at first. But it seemed hotter than the old coals I had. Soooo.. the session was going really well. Then it got harsh on my small hookah. I managed to get the harshness away but then it kinda came back. So I took out the very burned tobacco.

Im not sure if I was supposed to this but I left the bowl on the hookah and filled it up again. Now it was too thin. Im not sure what the problem was and I know for sure its not my hookah.

Did I do something wrong? Was it the coal? Should I make an entire new bowl when I put in new tobacco?

What kind of shisha?

Im not to sure, because im not very experienced
but it could of been a little bit of coal going into the bowl and causing it to be harsh.

might be the tobacco, might be your packing...i dunno.

but, i know there are starlight coconut coals...i'd imagine they'd be hard to light with a lighter. maybe it wasn't fully lit?

did it get harsh and taste funky, or did it just get harsh?
if it got harsh and the taste was off like it was burned it probably buurned.
nobody is going to be able to offer much help if we cant get more details about your shisha, how much coal you used and how you packed the bowl...

I don't know, it might be that the coals were hotter than you had imagined and burnt the bowl quicker than you were used to, assuming you packed it the same way as you normally do.
