Priapus
so, over here in the good ol' UK, we're having a heat wave (yay sun!) as much as i'm loving it, i've noticed that my sessions are turning out poor.thin smoke, very nearly burnt my baccy. was salvageable, but not nearly as nice as it would be normally.i'm using nak's choco mint, with a QL. this is my 3rd session that i've messed up since sunday. anyone else having problems with your sessions, or am i having The Curse of the Bad Shisha?any tips or advice welcome. obeyfluffy
i dont know if it would affect your smoke that greatly but have you tried putting ice in the vase?i was smoking outside at a friends bonfire and the fire heated up the water alot which made the whole experience poorwe went inside and raided his kitchen for ice and bam, nice clouds and a good session once again. ryno
I had that for a few days over here in the states. Me and my friend smoke in my garage and leave all our stuff out there and for a few days the sessions were just lacking. Sure enough, the heat went away and now the sessions are better
mjdx88
I have noticed as well here in the states, when smoking outside during a heatwave the sessions are lacking. Not only that but the smoke is a lot hotter.
Sonthert
I think aldehydes/phenols get through more when its hot..which makes it harsh. Higher temperatures do make a difference in many cases. Its really a case of acclimation, it will bounce back. I've seen this a lot...
engineonmute
if i ever smoke during the day when its decently warm, no windcover. it just seems to trap too much heat if i use one. i find most hookah sessions in the hot hot heat to be not so great anyways.... erg
EvansLight
Its been pushing 100 in the shade during the day here, and i almost always smoke outside. I find it takes a bit more heat management, but as Sonthert said, acclimation tends to help quite a bit in getting it to smoke good again.
Stuie
I don't smoke outside a lot but still even now it's hot in my house. But I find my sessions go a bit better inside during the heat. Cocos seem to last longer, clouds seem to be bigger, and flavor just seems to rock... maybe it's just a mental thing from the 105 degree temps this week. TexasHookah
Houston, TX has been ridiculously hot! I would be very surprised if anyone can even sit outside during the day and smoke a session! haha

Sonthert
Last night, I was smoking my hookah, it was somewhat harsh and it was hot and muggy. As the evening cooled off, the hookah started smoking better. The flavor was already in the stable chewed bubble gum flavor stage, so the temperature must have had something to do with it. So, high temperatures do have an impact.
Johnny_D
I had a MONSTER session last night... Awesome.but of course UK Humidity goes up and down like a whore's draw's, so that might have an issue.JD
h7a8s6an
i know exactly what you mean, im also in the uk and since sunday ive also been having pretty shit sessions the smoke comes out thin and the water gets hot etc. i took advice from a local shisha cafe and they suggested keeping the hose in the freezer for about 2 hours before a sessions and putting just as much ice as water in the vase...... after trying this, i now get BIG HUGE THICK MOTHERFUCKING CLOUDS!!
