Since 26th June all UK sites has to put their tobacco off the site, as the customs people are checking all websites.

So be very careful even if you are buying from the states (UK users)
As last week they seized one of my pack from the states and I also heard couple more people's packs got seized.

So this time safe buying smile.gif

Uk government keeps this up i smell a hookah revolution coming. Hookah Underground Railroad anybody?

But in all seriousness, i had heard little bits about this, and it seems like there trying to crack down on the amount of tobacco entering into the country without paying taxes.

Wow that is just awful and sucks on so many levels. Yeah now we can become pirates and bootleg tobacco to the UK!

The taxes are so high in the UK, at least 90% of the hookah tobacco over there is illegal. The small amount of tax pid stuff is just to ghost the receipts so it looks as if its legal.

Hahahahaha seen this one coming, this is why i cant get any shisha at the moment, the trick i found (i help a local shop import) is to get it shipped personally from dahab (just where i have a friend in egypt), customs seem to have issues reading the package information in another language and stay away wink.gif

You can, but it's knowing who to talk to ect.

However I doubt custom's are being any more over zealous than usual as I had 750g's of hookah tobacco delivered within the past 7 days.

Also some payment systems have been kicking up about transacting tobacco payments.

Lots of small issues.

Oh and Eric is bang on the money. 99% of Hookah Tobacco is imported via cousin Aljab's suitcase. And I was told that personally!

I think it will be easier when all the governments simply ban tobacco, it will get more expensive but there are less holes to jump through on a black market =p. Sadly, I bet this will happen in the next 5 years if things keep on how they are going. Also, stock up on stuff like soda and candy and junkfood, as I hear the taxes are about to go up on all of those!

Heheh. Steeeeve. Two 250s shipped to UK in an envelope? About $40. If it gets seized, you're out of luck.

Try using the pre-paid fix rate boxes. They seem to slide through without problems.

And shop around for a good deal!

Could some one tell me are customs only a problem when shipping from the states or would it still be a problem if u were shipping within the uk

Only a problem when shipping in from america. Unless your address is flagged, but that is very very rare.

thats the problem

no uk online stores are selling tobacco based products (ie al fakher/al waha/nakhla etc) because for some reason they have been banned. that was the whole point of this thread in the 1st place

There is no site available advertising tobacco shisha
