So i heard about this a while ago but wanted to wait until it was officially released just to make sure. Havana has a new line out, from what ive had so far (energy power(redbull), blue mist, and Strawberry marg it seems pretty good. Well worth the 9.99 a 250.

Looks to me like they are trying to eat SB's lunch. Almost an exact lineup/can/branding copy of the StarBuzz line.

Is the quality any better than their normal (awful) shisha?

I haven't had Havana's old line before, just their newly packaged line. From what I have tried:
Pipe: Molassess flavored oh so so so good. Tastes like Zag but with more molassess and it's a mixes very well with Zag or Salloum Plain.
Rowan: Tastes like Black Currant and Grape, very good
Special Apple: Tastes like Double Apple but with less anise
Blueberry: Tastes like blue pixy stix, unique
Peach: Tastes like chemical infused peach, not so good.

Its more or less the same as original Havana with some new flavors and metal cans added, from what industry rumors are. I tried three of the new flavors and rated them 3/10, 6/10, 7/10. The white grape isn't too bad.

what do you do when you smoke something that is 6 or 7/10? do you throw out the bowl after a few minutes (just to say that you tried it) and pack a bowl of tangiers? tongue.gif

Eric, when are you going to jump on board and put your stuff in a metal can and jack up the price?

I've never been much for the "premium" lines of tobacco that are springing up now. I smoke Tangiers a lot, which I guess is premium, but Havana premium, Exotic al amir, etc. All those are not as good as the original line-up in my opinion. I think its just a fancier box, and that is as far as premium takes you. To me, premium means we didn't get it right in the original recipe, so here is a "better" one in a fancier box.

I stick to Tangiers. Simple, and so delightful.

This is a sad trend thats going on, but it would make perfect sense if they get the duplicate flavors on point..say blue mist. Why spend 20$ on a starbuzz tin when I can get 2 cans for the same price and hopefully same flavor...which I hope to find out. But if it doesn't work that way then its a shame but hey look on the bright side 10$ you really cant go wrong.

if its shit...that's just $10 wasted...pretty wrong imo. biggrin.gif

True lol but I've lost 15+ on stuff that was pretty horrid but wanted to try out, I'd rather loose 10$ then 15, 20+.

One of the lounges near me uses a few of the flavors.

From what I recall:
X on the Beach: tastes like shampoo
Blue Mist: Not like Starbuzz's flavor. It's minty but I couldn't really pick up anything else.
Energy Power: took one puff from a friend's hookah. Wasn't anything great from what I remember.

They needed to do something. I can't remember anyone who liked it or even really talks about it. You don't even ever hear it mentioned on the forums xD

But i bet like tonic, and the new romman, its just them trying to copy of SB. Granted if someone can do it for $10 and be at least close to as good as SB id be happy wink.gif

Chinamon: Pretty much. smile.gif

Antuwon: Actually, I'm instituting a new variation on something more environmentally friendly than metal cans, the price will go up by approximately $2/250g. The environmentally friendly non-metal metal cans will be made of recyclable plastic and paper, however. It will be completely indistinguishable from our current packaging and you don't have to worry about throwing away metal into landfills...the plastic and paper are recyclable. Cool, huh? laugh.gif

i mean i'm a fan of those heavy plastic bag things you're using now. pretty much all of my tobacco (except most AF and my nak strawberry that comes in a tin) goes into a shallow plastic container anyway. if the containers you plan on using are big enough to efficiently acclimate your product in, then it's a plus i guess, if not then it's just 2 bucks in the bin. i'm not trying to be crude or anything, you honestly know you're shit, that's just some honest customer feedback...

-will the labels still be handwritten?

Sure. No problem. The added cost is on a suggested retail contribution plan. If you like the packaging and want to protect the environment, send me a check for $2 for each 250g you buy. IF you CARE about the environment, you should send me the money. $.01 from each 250g will be sent to a major environmental charity. This is your CHANCE to give back to the environment of Tangiers...as you can afford it. If you can only afford $1/250 or .25/250g, thats fine, too. We believe reaching our hand out to future generations and supporting bloated administrations of non-profit environmental groups is whats needed to solve the problem of not enough people knowing about the problem.

That flavr has been rotating around for about 3 years now, its starting to filter down to hookah tobacco manufacturers. Its pretty good in some cases.
