Ice Bucket Mod Question

This goes out to anyone who's tried these before. Does it just sit between the bowl and stem, where the bowl would normally hook onto?

If so, does it seal well? Is it workable if you're patient?

I believe that these sit on top of your stem and then you place your bowl on top. From what I have heard these are poorly made(ex leaky, dont fit right on most hookahs). I suggest checking out the review thread before ordering.

For mya's - it screws on to the top. You just remove the head that normally holds the bowl and screw this POS on instead.

It's poorly made, it rusts easily, and generally doesn't do SQUAT.

there made for mod hookahs, and they fit either over or on top of the stem. You can buy some hookahs with these already on, usually called Ice Chiller Hookahs. The point is to condense more of the glycerin into pretty vapor. It does work to get some THICK clouds, but it deadens the flavor.

Honestly if your hookah doesn't have it, don't add it. Even the ones that come with it leak badly. Just throw some ice in your base, or grab a bucket and put ice and salt in it, and put your hookah in the bucket. But remember you sacrifice flavor for smoke.

make sure and check so this piece of poo poo will fit on your pipe. a buddy bought one for his mya. you screw off the head piece and screw this thing on. it's a piece of junk. it doesn't fit snugly, looks awkward and really doesn't do anything but look cheap. save your money for your next real buy.

IMO this item is junk. It will make the stem of a Chinese hookah (It doesn't fit my QT well) ice cold, but not for that long. And the "benefits" of it aren't noticeable. The stem in the ice chamber is smaller than the QT stem, thus it restricts airflow. A larger diameter stem with ice water is much much better than this crap.

It's a waste of money. I would just buy a KZ and you'll get better smoke from that 100% of the time.
I forgot to add, the one I got leaked excessively. I had to use some silicone chalk to seal all the joints, the first time I used it the ice chamber just dripped the water out of the little spout. Edited July 1, 2009 by kudomonster

Even in my KM Sig Ice I don't have a real noticeable difference. It's a nice thought but that one isn't practical.

We sell the ice pots. They fit most Chinese made hookahs. You would unscrew the metal bowl adapter part and screw on the Ice Pot and then put the bowl on top. Personally, I don't believe they have a huge impact but they do have a good look to them. Putting ice in the base will have the best impact if going for cooler smoke.
