So, I just got into a whole culinary debate with a co-worker about how I don't like Mayonnaise/Aioli's, except for a couple distinct situations (I love mayo on whoppers, or if its scratch made), and how she thinks I'm crazy. Then she goes on to say how she does not understand how people can eat mustard and sriracha.

So, riddle me this, fellow HF members... What's your poison, and what do you classify as poison?

Mayo for a sandwich or burger. Or my homemade honey mustard.

French fries were invented so we could eat Ketchup.

Thousand Island doesn't make a good salad dressing much less a condiment on anything else.

For solid condiments... I put Jalapenos on about everything!

Anything pickled and/or with a shitton of vinegar, hot sauce and hot relishes/chutneys at all times, on anything and everything. Tahini-based condiments are application specific, but often necessary as well.

There's this spicy ranch I get and it's great. Plop it on a burger or on a cheese pizza and it tastes amazing.
I'm not a fan of Ketchup. Never liked the taste of it. I eat fries with BBQ sauce or the ranch sauce.

Mustard (regular, deli, honey, you name it...) is my favorite, with Kikkoman's Sushi and Sashimi soy sauce taking a close second.

I think Ketchup, Mayo, and Ranch Dressing are all pretty nasty. Edited by Ralleac

one part ketchup and two parts mayonnaise

Yeah it's a Utah thing. We just mix it ourselves down here in Texas and add a touch of Mustard.

Favorites:
Mainly eastcoast, but sub dressing. Pretty much Balsamic vinegar, olive oil and oregano, basil. Diff places have their own variations, but all are outstanding on a sandwich.
For burgers I'm a huge fan of barbeque sauce. Store bought I'm a fan of sweet baby rays and specialty it has to be Dinosaur BBQ (Upstate NY place). Hotdogs and brats, sauerkraut and brown mustard, usually hot.

Only thing I'm not a fan of would be mayonnaise. Its weird because I will eat almost anything (anything normal, weird, etc.) and like all the ingredients in mayo, but can't stand it all together.

*Kind of off-topic, but has to do with sub dressing. Has anyone been to DiBella's subs in Rochester, NY? I think this has to be my favorite and best sub i've ever eaten. Edited by Jeff_T

Thats a shame. I live in New Mexico, and chili/hot sauce is what I eat. I had a stuffed sopapilla with green chili last night for dinner. Theres also burgers with green chili, breakfast anything can be served with chili or at least tobacco, pizza with green chili and sausage is amazing. Hot sauce in a sandwich, on my chicken fried steak, drizzled over french fries. You need to get up your spice tolerance because it makes food so much better.

Ketchup owns the comiment world. Mayo sucks. If it's buffaloed, then Bleu Cheese of course.

I use mayo (Miracle Whip) on all my sandwiches and hamburgers.

Depending on the food will depend on what I use for dip.

I just dont like mustard, never have.

Then again, I have eaten turkey sandwiches with Miracle Whip and either cheetos or bbq chips stuffed in it.
