get a torch lighter, John's CH QLs...problem solved.

you're going to be outside anyways, so the smell shouldn't be that big of an issue.

i'm not the biggest fan of how john's coals ash. althought they are super-convenient.

Buy an electric outlet adapter for your car. They plug into the cigarette lighter and then you can plug an electric coal into that.

Probably need to check how many volts an electric coil needs though.

http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-conv...car-adapter.htm something like this is what I have in mind.

OR! Go to a park where you can light a fire in a bbq pit and either use the coals from the wood or light your coals over the fire.

can you fit 3 pieces of coal on there at a time? i usually use four cocos for nak.

cool idea and all but i don't think that i'm gonna blow 30-40 bucks just for this one trip. i'll probably use the aforementioned coleman burner that i already own and snag a screen/grate for it.

You could do 2 coco's, but no, its not efficient for multiple coals. biggrin.gif

Lights them incredibly quick however, I'd get a portable coil stove, especially for coco's
