Big Boss
About a year ago someone put dry ice in their chiller and they said it was quite exceptional. I dunno if the glass base would withstand that kinda cold, but it'd be worth a shot.
combs08
Hmmm interesting. But yea, I'm not sure if glass could handle that. Acrylic on the other hand....that might be magical
delSol_si
I put my hookah on a block of dry ice before, it just froze all of the water in the vase and I had to wait for it to thaw out before I could smoke again. FML Tried this a long time ago, learned my lesson since and have not attempted it again. Edited July 7, 2009 by delSol_si
Can-O-War
Now if we could find a liquid that freezes at a temp below dry ice, is not toxic, has no flavor, is affordable, and has the same filtering properties of water to put in the base, then we would be set. Quick, some one call a scientist!

Or you could try a higher proof alcohol. That takes some effort to freeze. Good luck and dont die!
Tikhman
yep, alcohol should do the trick. I would guess 151 might have enough alcohol and not freeze, though I would also guess that it wouldn't taste all that great.

Just ice water alone can seriously deaden the flavor of the tobacco, and while im all for huge clouds, i won't push past a bucket of ice water around the base, beyond that and big clouds are pointless. I did it once with my KM and got nothing but hot smoke....it was like a 90F day.
