Buying A New Hookah This Fall

I've been looking into what hookah to buy this fall when I get my financial aid refund. I'm torn between the KM Basha and Mya Paragon. I hear a lot of raving about how well the KMs smoke, but that pyramid base on the Mya is selling pretty well to me. What do you all think? Or do you know any other great hookahs in that price range?

Also, I order from H-S, and will get some free 50g packs of Romann. I haven't smoked any Romann, and really don't want to pay that much, and when I buy expensive, the wife insists on SB. Any sweeter Romann flavors that are too good to pass up? Edited July 8, 2009 by Svaals

Your going to hear a split argument on which one to buy. Some forum members like KM's over Myas, and others like Mya's over KM's. Most will agree there two of the better hookahs, but its still split on which one. So really get which one you like the look of the best, either way your going to get a damn good hookah. I personally prefer Mya, simply because i was never the biggest fan of the traditional style designs, and love the Mya bases.

As for the Romman, i don't have a whole lot of experience with it, but Stuie has a suggestion's on there flavors thread, and i don't doubt other members could recommend you some good flavors.

i like myas
ive never smoked a km
but all three myas ive smoked from are amazing, and break down for very easy cleaning
i want a mya staff quite badly
as for romman, id say good times and ivory coast
those are what i hear are the best
and their mint is good (that i have tried)

I'll throw in another vote for Mya; as was previously stated, if you're more a fan of traditional styles KM's probably ideal, but the Mya's are just really sleek and solid.

As for Romman, I like their peach quite a bit, and while I normally hate coconut-flavored anything, I really enjoy their coconut shisha. It has a creamy sweetness to it that's just great, in my opinion.

personally i vote KM just because it smoke better than any pipe ive ever smoked out of the tri metal and the ice i own are amazing pipes and i love the hand crafted look of both of them. but as lunatic said different strokes for different folks. myas are great pipes, i just prefer something different, even though i will most likely order one in the near future lol

Yeah, KM's are nice however if your looking to go for something a little different id defo suggest a MYA. Their build is excellent and the quality is equal to KM if not a little better,

Dont get me wrong though, KM's do smoke awesome and if your looking for a traditional style i would deffo go for them.

I'd like to be able to go multi-hose later on if I need to. I know the mya can do that, not sure about the KM.

Both are great brands. But have unique things about them that are attractive to buyers. So unless you have smoked from both, you don't really know which is a better smoke or not.

I would go Syrian. I like Egyptian pipes but my Syrian has been solid as hell. Great craftsmanship throughout the whole stem.

KM's pulls are looser than every other pipe I've used (Mya QT, Mya Acrylic, Syrian Glyph, some generics). Some people prefer tighter draws and if you're one of them, the Myas will be good for you.

If you're indifferent about draw, just choose based on aesthetics.
