How Long Does Shisha Last

Recommended Posts

once the container is opened that is. im not talking about one bowl/session, im talking about a whole can or box of shisha.
i was just about to throw out some old shisha. but then i started thinking... is it really "old" at all? i don't notice a change in smell really. but i do notice that the flavor tends to weaken over time after the date i opened it.
so is my "old" shisha still smokeable? or should i toss it out?

i usually purchase only 50g's of shisha at a time becuase when i purchase 250g or so, the flavor is just weak, gone, or kinda gross by the time i finally smoke all 250g's of it, which could take weeks for me....

so im curious. what are your guy's thoughts on this? do some brands of shisha tend to last longer than others from the date they were opened? or maybe some flavors in general last longer..... like mint maybe...?
thanx in advance, fellow hookahlovers!

It really depends how u store ur shisha, and how long u think old is. Most shisha has enough glycerin in it to preserve it for at least a year. AF used to post expiration dates on the packages 2 years from production dates.

So I would say unless you are storing shisha for years you should be ok to smoke it. But keep it in an airtight container, so it doesnt dry out.

If it smells good and has some moisture in it, then smoke it. Try it before you toss. And if you do want to toss, ship it over to me smile.gif

If anyone remembers steve i think his name was, selling a crap ton of old Al Waha, that stuff was still pretty good to smoke, and it was pushing i think 2 years old, if not older. But that was sealed. It really depends on what its made with. Some flavors could go bad over time once exsposed to air. Oldest opened tobacco i've smoked was 3 years old, and it was decent, but not worth keeping.

Now starbuzz is the worst at shelf life. I had to throw out a can of X On The Beach and Guava after 8 months. Al Waha can keep it seems like forever though.

damnnnn cuz starbuzz is the shisha i was planning on throwing out lol. yea some flavors i have from them just die out fast once they're open. one time i got starbuzz white peach, which is usually my fav, and it was like old before i even opened it. all dried out and bleh when smoked.

When open, about 2-6 months. Sometimes the water will evaporate, sometimes the flavor will fade, leaving those bleah base flavors behind. Tangiers will last closer to 6 months on, depending on the flavor. Cherry flavors will fade fast. Melon flavors and berry flavors will also fade pretty fast.
