UnforgivenSinner
Well I've been using a decent 12"(I think) hookah that I bought from a music shop awhile ago, and I think I really need an upgrade. The two I was looking at were the first one on This Page and the first one on This Page. Portability doesn't matter it won't leave the house. So I guess my questions are-Which will last longerWill I notice a big difference in the different sizesDoes the size effect how long the smoke sessions areI cant think of any more but if I do I will add them.Edit: Also I've been smoking hookah-hookah(i was desperate), starbuzz and fantasia, is there anything else on that same site that will last longer or tastes better Edited July 10, 2009 by UnforgivenSinner
ilikemyusername
personally, I'd go with the first one and as far as shisha goes, texas hookah has Al Fakher and nakhla, my two fav0rites. totally forgot about epic, one day i'll try it out.
bungiman
Which will last longer - Honestly don't know. Tough to tell neither are name brands. Will I notice a big difference in the different sizesYeah you will notice a 10" difference.Does the size effect how long the smoke sessions areI've found that it doesn't affect the length of the session, but the quality. Generally, not always, bigger pipes have wider downstems. So easier drag, stuff like that. I've gotten multi-hour sessions from a 13".I personally would go with the first one and I would think about AF, SB, or Nakhla. Tangiers is supposed to be good, haven't tried it yet. I would suggest a phunnel, I got mine from Texas Hookah.
EvansLight
The first looks like just your standard Egyptian, but it might be an MZ. Either way Egyptians tend to be fairly decent, and last quite a while. The second is a chinese mya knock-off acrylic. If you want one like that, pay the extra and get the real Mya Acrylic, which is my party hookah, and is damn sturdy and can take a beating:http://www.texashookah.com/mya.htmlSize of the hookah won't change session length, only the draw. The larger the hookah, the harder the draw can get, but im talking like about 3ft tall to notice a difference. That being said small hookahs can have draw problems as well, simply because the inside diameter of the stem might be tiny to match the hookah. Bowl size and design, and mainly your skills and technique, and of course the tobacco used, determine length of the session. Hookah-Hookah is Satans tobacco (long story) but Starbuzz is my personal favorite, and Fantasia is decent, just not worth its price IMO. Now as for other brands, Tangiers is one of the more popular brands around here, for its flavor and quality. It is a good tobacco, but its not for everyone, but worth trying for sure. Nakhla has become pretty popular around here, it is one of the older companies, and is a pretty good smoke. Beyond that, its down to taste, everyone has there favorite flavors and brands, and each person is different. Your best bet is to sample a lot of the popular flavors of each brand. UnforgivenSinner
Is the Nakhla or Al Fakher chopped really thin like hookahhookah or is it a little bit thicker like starbuzz. It seems like I enjoy the thicker shisha more.
ilikemyusername
nakhla is a real mans shisha with a nice hearty cut, like the steak of smoke, Af is finer cut dyes red and sweet like candy. neither one is hh cut.
