kvtaco17
This...http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/view...;idproduct=5222Kinda makes me think that Exotica has downgraded their current finger coals so they can sell these as a "better" coal, that is as good as the old Exoticas I used to use... I dunno, opinions?
freeOS
QUOTE and possess all the quality you've come to expect from Exotica.Hmm... We'll have to check with Canon and Mushrat about Exotica's 'quality'...
kvtaco17
Last 3 boxes I've gotten ash a lot worse and now the ash is brown (more filler) instead of the grayish color I'm used too and they are a lot less dense... I really like Exoticas but lately its been hard...
Stuie
I am curious myself also. Might grab in the next order if someone hasn't said how good or bad they are.
neffertiti
I was about to get some more coco's and these kind of caught my eye. [attachment=3837:Coal_Exo...a_Gold_M.jpg]http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/view...;idproduct=5222 Does anyone know if they are any different ( besides being pre-cut) to the new exoticas? or are they some amazing return to the old ones of a few years ago....one can only hope
ilikemyusername
I'm sure it would be worth it to give them a shot, I can't see them being total crap.
Johnny_D
Gold=one's not having water pissed all over them? Or maybe not 90% filler?
combs08
I'm about 90% sure that they are pre-cut to be bigger than the regular Exotica's. So this is either a blessing or a curse.
mushrat
I was looking at those. the ad says the pieces are 1.75 inches long, then 36 pieces would be 12 sticks each 5.25 inches long. Each box of regular exoticas has 20 sticks each is 5" long. So with the gold you get 63 inches of coal for the same price as 100 inches of coal with the reguar exoticas. A rip off if you ask me. Sonthert
I think its just a fancy way of saying they come precut.

Barnaby
Just wondering if anyone has given these a whirl or not.. Wondering if they're the same, just pre-cut, or if there are any differences..
mattarios2
AFAIK they are the same just precut into thirds.
liquidglass
Hopefully someone will get a small batch soon to compare the quality of them. Because I'm curious if they were doing a move for profit. Whatever the case, people are going to start boycotting Exotica consciously or subconsciously if the quality doesn't pick back up.
fcbayern
I hate it when companies sell coal by the piece. Why not just ell me what the box weighs? what do I care if theres 84 pieces or 102 pieces. How much coal is that? Tell me it's a kilo or 750g.So can anyone tell me if 36 pre-cut pieces equals a Kilo? or do I get less coal now cuz some one cut it for me? (its the same price)
Stuie
I had Cocos before exoticas and got use to not tasting coal so it's hard to smoke Exoticas for me because it's real obvious to me but I might try some.

But a regular box is about a kilo in weight, and once it's cut into pieces it's 100 pieces. So it's much less than a kilo in weight imho. To be honest they stole my idea lol. When exoticas were better I was considering looking into the business of buying, recutting, and selling boxes of 100 pieces for about the same price they go for now. mushrat
Ok, this is the 3rd thread about golds I've had to merge in 3 days. I suspect the 1 kilo weight is thier minimum weight increment. Just look at my math above and tell me its the same weight. I call BS.
momatik
There is a review on youtube which rates the coals favorably.
