Matt-641
I cleaned my hookah today, which included taking the hose adapter and purge valve off. When I went to screw both back in, the purge valve went in fine, but the hose adapter is loose...It's screwed in, but doesn't come to a stopping point (if that makes sense) and it won't come back out without being unscrewed, but I can move it around a little bit. I've never had this happen before, so what happened? I thought the port didn't matter where you put the hose adapter or purge valve, since QT's can become 2 hose, but now I'm not possitive. Zinite
Are you saying that the hose port keeps screwing in and doesn't ever screw shut enough to stop turning? That would indicate stripped threads.
Matt-641
yeah it won't stop screwing in...Now sure how I would have stripped it though.

Buy some plumbing teflon tape and wrap the threads of the hose adapter in it. Screw it in as far as possible. Test to ensure air tightness (put a hose in, put your finger over the bowl adapter and suck in).
mushrat
or a little lock-tite. If the thread is stripped you may have cross threaded it or it may have been cross threaded when they assembled it.You may contact Mya directly. They do have a warrenty on their hookahs. Matt-641
Hmm...so weird thing, I just tried switching the hose adapter and purge valve again, both of them screw in tightly as they should.Aren't the ports supposed to be interchangeable? Matt-641
Possibly the threading on the adapter, maybe...? B/c I havn't switched them before, I just lost track of which came off of where today and figured what the heck. Hoping that when I get the other hose adapter, it'll be threaded ok.
