Zinite
I got a package yesterday of Lucid Green Tea, Cactus Fruit and Orange Soda. The orange soda was fine - smelled great. The green tea didn't smell like anything, and the cactus fruit smells like... spicy food? I left it out for about 10 hours, but it smells the same. I'm smoking the green tea right now, and it doesn't taste like anything. It's not bad, it just tastes like a plain sugar taste. Anyone have experience with either of these flavors? mushrat
ive never tried the cactus. It may need more accimating. some of mine take 24 hours or more on occasion.

Besides a few isolated problems, Tangiers is fairly consistent here. Thanks Mush.
contristo
i acclimated lucid cactus fruit for 2-3 hours in my garage and it tasted great. i think passion fruit is basically a stronger, better version that is somewhat similar in taste though. still a good flavor though.haven't tried the green tea... let me know how it smokes once you get it going well. orange soda is my favorite lucid flavor though... amazing taste and extremely easy to prepare. sort of what esk. apple is to AF. Zinite
Towards the end of the session the flavor picked up a little bit, but if I didn't know it was green tea, I would have no clue what to call the flavor. It just tasted... sweet. That's it - like drinking sugar water.
Sonthert
The green tea is a slightly more subtle flavor. Despite what you hear on street corners, acclimation is necessary in a lot of cases. As far as the cactus fruit goes, that smell is the cactusy base...I know the smell you're talking about. Both could use some acclimation. Currently, I'm experimenting with acclimating by opening the tub the tobacco is in for four hours and then sealing it up for 20 hours. See how that works for you. cymptom
As a lover of green tea I was so pumped for the green tea flavor, but found it to be really disappointing. I guess it tastes like the green tea drinks put out by Snapple or Arizona, which don't taste like green tea at all. Just... sweetness over top of a generic tea flavor. I was hoping for some matcha or sencha taste
cymptom
I guess I should that it IS a pleasant smoke. I just don't think it should be called green tea. Eric: how much does the flavor composition differ from Red Tea? It tastes almost the same, just a bit sweeter -- which is confusing to me, because green tea is naturally more bitter than red and black teas...(What happened to the edit post function?) mix_tape
I never knew you had to acclimate lucid, it has always smoked fine right when I opened it but perhaps I'll acclimate it next time and see if it enhances the flavor.I've been waiting on the feed back of green tea before I buy. You can only edit your post 5 minutes after the post time. That was done to prevent people from breaking the rules (drug references, etc.) then editing later.QUOTE (mix_tape @ Jul 12 2009, 10:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I never knew you had to acclimate lucid, it has always smoked fine right when I opened it but perhaps I'll acclimate it next time and see if it enhances the flavor.I've been waiting on the feed back of green tea before I buy.I never acclimated Lucid either. This time around, I've definitely noticed a difference. It might just depend on the individual flavor.Eric: Sealing it up for awhile seemed to be the key. The cactus fruit definitely had a different smell to it (almost like Tangiers Kiwi?). It tastes delicious... almost like Kiwi, but Kiwi was probably my least favorite Tangiers flavor. combs08
Oh, man. I was looking for a real green tea taste. Hmm, I'll still probably give it a try.
Sonthert
Yeah, its tough. I had a chai tea flavor that was fantastic, but highly unstable. Like 10 minutes of endurance unstable. Bad. Lots of tea flavors are like that. I sent my red tea flavor around to manufacturers to see if they could duplicate it and they said "This is a tea flavor? WTF? I've never seen anything like that." Too bad my main flavoring company lit out...their chemists were masters.
Bulldog_916
I think the Lucid needs to be cut out in favor of making OG flavor the main one. I love it. It IS subtle, you have to inhale then exhale through your nose a bit, then total open mouth exhale the rest. Let it out slowly. Also make sure your hookah hose and hookah are extra clean. Any flavor ghosting can cause issues with it.
