fcbayern
I use a hacksaw blade or serated knife to score both sides then snap.. I use this on coco'c and John's coals so Isuppose most coconut coals are the same

combs08
All I do with Coconara's is make an indent with a knife then break them in half with my hands. Not difficult at all

I guess you could make a charcoal Guillotine.... oh that would be awesome! Scalli Any ideas how to pull that off?
fcbayern
I thought About using a table saw, but I like to have all of my fingers where they belong.. BUt maybe a band saw might work with a really thin blade.I dont hanging half the coal off the edge of the bowl, to me thats a waste. If I only need half a coal I only light half a coal.
