RingsMaster
ok so while putting my mini egyptian on my hookah last night the base broke. thats the bad news the good news is that it broke so cleanly that it was easy to tape up. now my question is is there anything i can do to make it stick for good. it broke into 3 small pieces and i just wrapped them with tape at the bottom of the bowl. worked fine the entire session. you guys think its worth messing with at all? if so let me know what you guys do when this happens, tried searching the forum but every other post about broken bowls seems to be broken where the shisha is put so idk what to do about this one, super glue maybe?? idk any help would be nice Edited July 18, 2009 by RingsMaster

delSol_si
Ya, egyptian bowls are cheap as dirt anyway...hookahcompany.com sells chipped egyptian bowls for $0.95 a piece. You are going to spend more fixing that one than it would cost to get a new one.I don't quite understand the sentimental value thing....its a hookah, not a girlfriend, well, we hope at least And don't use duct tape. If a bowl is any good, like tangiers, then it will heat up like crazy and retain the heat for a long ass time, you will never get that shit off once it melts to the bowl. Plus, I would personally prefer not to smoke duct tape...hmmm, unless Eric makes a duct tape flavored Tang?
mattarios2
at least in terms of the heating up and melting. The rescue tape withstands 500 degrees. I have been told hookah coals only reach the 400 range, so as long as you don't overheat your bowl i would think that tape would work just fine.I personally wouldn't do it, but i would like to think it would be ok to.
