angermngment
Hello, I recently switched from golden quick light, to coconara, and for some reason I am getting a "coal" taste in my shisha. Also, I think my heat management may be off now. I used to use a single Large (40mm?) Golden coal, and it was pretty much perfect.Currently I am trying 2 Coconaras at once, but it gets harsh after 15 minutes or so. I put them on opposite sides of each other.Any other misc advice for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.

Purplepotatoe
I find it a little strange that I can use 3 cocos on at a time not get any harshness and others use 2 and get it. Sure different brands will have different results. I wanted to say instead of using halves you can just put them on there side until they ash a bit then slide them over. My advice anyway. mushrat
I'm with the halves idea myself. I always tell people to break up their coals. As for the charcoal taste..um...you are using a REAL charcoal now.......
srawas89
Could it be that u are not lighting them completely? How do u light them and for how long? When I use naturals I use a coil stove top and I let them light until they have their own little flame going. Nikon1323
you could just put 2 on there and make sure your rotating them a lot and sometimes i like to have both the coals like on the edge of the bowl about half off half on if it starts to get harsh
RingsMaster
im more of a fan of putting them on their sides and when they burn down a little you can adjust them as such
