danetello2
I was thinking of getting cocobricos over coconaras. They're cheaper to buy, and I would save alot on postage, since I can get them here in the UK. Cocobricos cost about £5 a kilo (about $8.50). I've heard good things about them in the reviews, but coconaras are more popular. What do you think I should get?
srawas89
I dont think those of us living in America can get our hands on Cocobricos. From what I have heard they are amazing coals and you should get them. Besides a kilo for $8.50 is a damn good deal.
4d1ct3d
Cocobricos ftw. They are much cheaper and, imo, much better. They last longer and give a better, more even heat imo. The ash is very similar to coconaras, very little and fine ash.So yes, try them
the_cool
Where are you getting the cocobricos from? I've just got my cocochas today from shisha-world (which is a german site). They are the same as cocobricos but come in 3kg boxes. I ordered 7 since i knew people who wanted some too and it worked out to about £8.50 each. They come in yellow label and red label ones, I had the red label ones which are huge and require breaking in half which is a hassle, this time I got the yellow label ones which are smaller and are perfect.Coconaras and cocobrico/cocochas are the same thing, they are just cocount coals in cubes. The yellow label ones i believe are taller that coconaras if im not mistaken as so will last longer. The dimentions are on the site for the two diff types of cocochas, they didnt have a size for the cocobricos but i think they are the same size or similiar size as the cococha yellow label. 4d1ct3d
They are definitly not the same. Besides the size, I dunno what varies, maybe the density, but I find that coconaras burn hotter, take longer to light and are harder to manage overall
the_cool
Sorry for the double post, tried to edit but missed the time window. The one on the right is the red label, the one of the left is yellow label

Pilgrim
The yellow label ones are perfect, but I've bought the red ones now and after some testing I can use them in one piece and not burn my tangiers. I put two of those giant suckers on and smoke for 2.5 hours straight...Anyway they're great coals, and very cheap, so I really suggest buying these instead of the (very expensive) coco nara's.. RingsMaster
i couldnt imagine a smoke without my coconara's
pinky
Cocobricos are the smaller Cubes. The big coals are Cococha coals. Same company different size. 3kg with yellow label are also Cocobricos. I like using Cocochas broken into quaters using 3 of them. The size from Coconaras I like best, no need to break them, but they are not available in Germany and to expensive. the_cool
So from the picture I uploaded, the small cubes are bigger than cocobricos? I can assure that both coals in that picture are cocochas :S
