Finally Something Bad Has Happened To Me

so i hear/read all these horror stories about people having unfortunate experiences with their hookahs or bowls or whatever. ive been smoking hookah for many years without any mishaps until last night...

so last night was the seventh installment of my monthly hookah night at my friend's nightclub. i just pulled my car up to the back door and began unloading. i brought all three of my hookahs (km pharonie, af 30" solid, 20" mz safari), hot plate, bah with three hoses and my tool box) which takes me two trips to grab everything from my car and bring it inside. as i was bringing stuff in from the first trip, one of the attendees saw me and asked if i needed any help and i promptly answered no because i hate when people touch my stuff. i bring the stuff inside and i started to walk back out to grab the rest of it (which was the tool box and mz safari) when i saw him walking down the stairs inside and then i hear something smash on the floor. i take a few quick steps so i can see what happened and he was standing there holding my tool box and the mz by it's stem with the vase on the floor. i freaked. i began with "the hookah has two fucking parts, one is glass and the other is metal. if the metal falls on the floor it most likely would not break but if the glass fell then it would most definitely break so why are you holding it by the metal stem? are you fucking stupid?" and this continued on for a while with more cursing including words that probably do not exist in the english dictionary.

fuck, i am still pissed. i should ban him from ever attending any future hookah nights.

i have 2 diff km vases that are blue that i dont use, i'll let them go real cheap. if u are interested pm me and i will take some photos when i get back from vaca for you.

they might be a bit tall for a 20 inch but you never know.

you could always threaten to take him to court as seeing he did break your personal property, its like if he drove your car a wrecked it its his responsibility to pay for damages

That sounds like one time I let a friend that was staying with me use my egyptian while I was at work. Fucker put the vase in the freezer with water in it to make slush type ice. Of course by the time I got home and took it out the bottom came clean off. dumbass.

i had my first ever hooka accident a while back, chipped a little bit of glass on the mouth, luckily the hookah still works perfectly and it was "my" fault but its damage regardless

I have a friend thats completely banned from smoking with me anymore, his girlfriend can, but not my buddy eric.
The first day I had my Mz nefertiti I called him up and he and his girlfriend came over, we're smoking and all is well, he decides to show off and knock my chair over, instead of knocking my chair over he knocked the hookah over wich landed on a lava boulder, bowl falls off and breaks, the stem now has a mar on it and the coals went flying off into my garden wich I mulch with fallen oak leaves.
He is no longer allowed to smoke with me.
at least, not until he makes up for it.

none of the ones on HC are the right ones. the one i need is 7.5" tall and 1.5" opening. i have only been able to find it on socialsmoke (thats where i got the hookah from). i will have to wait until i pay off some of my visa so i still have some time to hunt around.

People do not understand your level of appreciation for hookah, they look at it as another easily replaceable thing..and shit happens..It's not theirs so they could care less..

never had that problem...i had rin wash my hookah once...she said it was a stressful experience because she didn't want to break anything. haha.

I would check some local stores before going and buying one online.

There is a store in Mississauga that sells bases for $15.

Nasr has a really nice small bohemian for $90. LOL You might be able to bargain them down.

I haven't had an accident like that yet but I always hate to hear about them.

I only have one friend who I trust to set-up and clean my hookahs--only because he has hookahs himself and knows what to do. If he ain't there, I do everything myself. People offer to help, I politely refuse.

Hope you find a new one soon and at a decent price.

Thats unfortunate. Its a good idea to keep your jars tight enough to withstand an idiot, but its tough to keep them tight since idiots are prevalent.

I thought the story was going to involve somebody jacking it.

One time, I went out to Arizona, to visit some friends, sell some tobacco. I left the large rosewater jar for my KP pipe in a wood box in the bed of my truck. I thought the box was secure, but it slid around and the jar shattered. I was pissed since I had the jar for several years. Its traumatizing. The idea of having to get a new jar and finding one that you like. I understand your frustration.
