hookahsmoker2
So i just recieved my new 33 inch tri-metal hookah today from hookah john and i have some mixed feelings about it. I'll start with the over looks of the hookah. To be honest it looks a little rough. The vase has a few spots on it where the paint is smugged or already coming off and the stem to be honest looks something horrid. Theres a big weld make in the middle of the stem and many in other different places. And it has these what appear to be "drawings" all over it but they look like a bunch of deep scratch marks because they are poorly placed. Now for the over all function of the hookah. The only problem i had here was pulling the damn thing off the vase. I'm 6'3 and about 235lbs and it was a struggle for even me to take it off. I tried wiggling and twisting and no lie it took me about 3mins of constant work to get the thing off. As far as the hit goes it hits better than any hookah i've never had or used. Effortless pull and you can clear it in a half a breath.Im just wondering if this is the norm. for KM or if i just got one that didnt turn out right. And im really worried that im gonna end up breaking the vase trying to get the stem off. If anyone could help me out that would be great.
hookahsmoker2
o just one thing I forgot, I'm in no way bashing hookah john or the KM brand. John was very good to us he threw in alot of extras, 2 brushes, a extra bowl, some playing cards, free samples of tobacco and his chronic light coals that i really like. He even wrote on the packages wich i thought was a nice personal touch. I justwant to know if this particular case of the KM's over look is usual or the norm. combs08
Well KM's are hand-made so there may be some imperfections. I've never heard a KM have THAT many though....Hmm...Pictures would also help greatly.
chinamon
the hookahs are handmade so imperfections will always be there.as for the vase being tight, the glass is hand blown so sometimes the opening in the vase (where the stem is inserted) may be a wee bit smaller than others and cause it to fit tighter. just rub some shisha juice on the grommet each time you pack a bowl and it will help. ryno
Pics would def. help. As for the grommet, every KM I have seen, the base grommet is too tight. You can sand it down some or put vasoline or something similar to lube it up.
mattarios2
the marks are normal and same with the welds. it depends on who welds it and where it is placed. i had a red pear, thing was mint, not a mark on it, my tri metal and mashal have a good amount of marks on it i personally think it looks better with the marks, makes it unique, no one else's is like yours.
