Lakemonster Posted April 14, 2006 Share Posted April 14, 2006 I got a few to go thru over time. so I'll just bring this thread back up after smokin a different flavor. Some of you might remember the last ones I did.... I sort of went about things in a cientific manner. and even did a bit of "torture" testing to try and get a better idea of how well the newly introduced brand performed as well as taste/smell/experience. Im not doing that this time. The first time around proved that the stuff was forgiving, smooth and had a long sustain of flavor on extended smokes. I had the Blueberry last night. Rig: Persian, 30" Coal: 2 Goldens Foil, random pattern My wife decided the flavor of the evening, (she doesnt smoke, she just chooses what she wants to smell), Blueberry it was. I remembered that you could put the heat on this stuff without much risk so I lit up two Goldens right off the bat and laid them side by side on the foil. I dont usually hork on it to get it started. I have a theory that you can develope tongue bite that way and kill your buds... so I just sit and puff gentle like till things get where you want em.... after about 7-10 minutes... I was working up that same thick smoke I was expecting... smooth as silk. The flavor was true to character and surprisingly realistic... Once again I detected the rounded version of fruit... the bit of tart that goes with the sweet. One thing I noticed about Starbuzz is that they have gotten flavors away from that "candy" taste.. or "cough syrup" type of thing. The flavor is full... but not sickly sweet. I smoked for a total of 110 minutes or so...... was thoroughly relaxed and one with the sofa.......... man... I gotta take more time for a smoke these days! Honestly...... Im probably going to switch over to this brand in replacement of stuff like Romman and Al-Amir... Im consistantly getting much more enjoyable smokes with this stuff.... I need to go back over and see what all flavors have been added.. they just had the first few flavors last time I had a window shop over at Social's site. BTW, Thanks once again, Ali! Starbuzz Social Smoke Blend: Usual cut, usual wetness, BRIGHT FRICKING GREEN! Smells like...hmm...some mint, some lemon, some...what the heck is that?? So the taste...We fired it up at the local cafe...one of the owners set it up in his private hookah as my mya already had soem of wyteboys AF cherry...look for that review in that thread... finger coal, bowl filled up with foil layed over the top, coals plopped on the foil. Not my usual method but it worked juuust fine. So we agreed there is lemon in there, and some minty/mentholy taste. There is something else there I cant place. The others didn't think so. I agree with Lake, this one had a crisper taste. Still sweet and smooth though...never fear. I definitly think the boys and girls at Starbuzz are onto something...
