So my order of shisha from Social Smoke came and I was checking out the
goods.  I have not opened the plastic baggies the shisha comes in yet
but I was inspecting it through the bags.  Noticed some stems in some
of them (got AA flavors apple, double apple, melon, grape, rose) but it
didnt look too bad.  Different story when I got to the rose.  There
seemed to be what looked and felt like several sticks of about 1cm in
length mixed in with the shisha.  What are they and would it be best of
me to make sure that every single one of them gets removed and thrown
away?  Also, how will it effect the smoke if I don't get all of the
stems out and whats the best way to get them out?

Won't affect anything. You can remove them, if you want. All sorts of foreign plant matter finds its way into tobacco. I found a pecan in my tobacco once.
