jellywerker
I was reading that a phunnel does not work well on a qt for some reason, so I was wondering what a good option around the same price range would be?
Giant Ninja Robot
i dunno who told you that but it's BS or circumstancial. I have a QT and a phunnel works great on it.

I have smoked a phunnel on a qt many times and it has been good. It wont work on a bambino because those are prone to tipping. The qt is a real good bet. Hobbs
I had a MYA razo and a phunnel worked fine on that as well.

714xDGAFxKING
yeah mushrat and combs were both saying there are small problems with the QT and mini phunnel bowl. so if i was you i would buy it and buy a few different size grommets/gaskets (just so we dont have a fight about what its really called) and try them out to see what fits perfect. for some reason my QT is hitting like shit. ehh my QT is prefectly fine it's me thats probably not packing the bowl right. cant seem to get a perfect bowl today ugh!! i hate these days!! jellywerker
Hmm, and this is a small, not a mini, so I assume larger and therefore the grommet may not be an issue? And yeah, I gotta get my packing down. Nothing worse than trying to chill with friends and having every bowl turn out like blegh!
ryno
You may need to use 2 grommets, are just a bigger one, but ive used a mini, small and medium on my friends QT, and they fit and smoke just fine.
Zinite
I've had 5 different phunnels over the course of the last year (Mini, Small, 3x medium) and they've worked perfectly on all my hookahs, including the QT and Mya Mini.
dakur001
Having never owned a QT I can't speak for the issue of how well it would fit, but I do remember when I used to smoke out of a Mini Mya with a Phunnel bowl the tray wasn't nearly big enough to catch all of the ash. From pictures I know that the QT's tray is also on the small side, so if you're going to pair the two together I'd recommend either getting a bigger tray or resting the QT on a surface that you don't mind spilling ash all over (I used to keep my Mini Mya on an old notebook). This is the only issue I can think of, though, just thought I'd put it out there.
jellywerker
I'm a fan of the pie pan mod as far as ash trays go. They look alright, are big, and can be tossed if they get really gross.

Giant Ninja Robot
the only wobbling issue I could possibly see with a phunnel on a QT is if you use a mod gasket instead of an egyptian and seal it loosely in doing so. That being said I often use mod gaskets with my phunnels and just push down hard enough to create a tight seal, the gasket is about 1/2 exposed but that's just aesthetics. *sigh*
I use my small phunnel on my Mya Mini all the time. Now it's not as small as the QT, but works great.

I smoke out of phunnels all the time. I even smoke my Medium on my bambino with no tipping issues. Never had a problem with a phunnel on any Mya, ever. Even my minis don't wobble. Not sure where that one got started either.
Matt-641
Most bowls are universal to pretty much all hookahs...Maybe what they meant was that the phunnel wont work with a QT's grommet (gasket)..? But I know for a fact the small Tangiers phunnels will fit on the grommet that comes with a QT fine.
Spats
On my Bambino, if it gets too close to the tray then add a layer of moist paper toweling or anothergrommet/gasket/rubber thingie. If you can seal it then all is well and smoke it! Nothing is spookierlooking than my MNH #24 bowl balanced on a Bambino (the bowl is half the Bambino's height.) Arcane
well, my mini phunnel doesn't fit as well on any hookah i have...but, it still makes a good seal. my small phunnels don't fit exactly the same either...i guess it just depends on the luck of the draw since they're handmade. Sonthert
Sometimes those huge Chinese gaskets are too large...you may need a standard gasket (which is smaller). On the other hand, if you are using a standard gasket, and its too small, and the bowl is wobbly, you may need to add a second one, like others have said. A fat Chinese gasket is about the size of three standard gaskets.
RingsMaster
http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/conf...;idproduct=1063try these they came with my KM and work wonders for all but 2 of my bowls which need the mod ones
combs08
If it's too big, just wrap a strand of paper towel around your GROMMET, then place the bowl on top. I do that with my Standard Eygptian bowl on my Mini Mya. Works great and had a very nice, snug fit.
