Delay In Shipment

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering on what is the average time it takes a vendor to ship the products. I put an order in July 22 for some shisha and coals from MNHookah. There is no response or shipping confirmation yet.

It usually takes 8-15 days for orders to get to where I am because Canada customs suck. Any delay in shipment adds pain to the pain we already get in ordering anything from where I am.

Should I be worried? I tried calling but no answer and e-mails are not being responded to.

Is this normal? Or am I getting shisha withdrawal syndrome???

Tarik is pretty busy these days from the sound of it, so he is not able to get to the MNhookah orders as much.

I too have some stuff that I'm waiting on from him..hopefully he is able to get to the orders sooner than later.

I was in the same boat as you. No replies to telephone calls or emails..
Finally got a reply saying that they were sorry about the delay. I did receive my shipment not too long after that. The credit card was charged, and the automatic email saying my shipment info was forwarded to USPS was received, but it took a while before the actual package was sent out.

However, I was not able to use the hookahforum code, nor use my points (website glitch i imagine)
It's a shame. I still use them because they breeze thru customs, plus they have good prices. but i really hope they get back to their online business 100% real soon! Edited by mikeypas

I'm awaiting a "correction" to an order but haven't heard or seen anything
else about it... Granted, opening another business is stressful and time
consuming, but we are customers also! Who is first priority? Granted
they have a nice product line but I doubt if I'll be in the area...

If I am in "the area" then I'd hit both their shop and restaurant and make
myself known wink.gif

I try to avoid buying supplies online.

I'm glad I got a couple vendors with in 20 miles of my location.

When I have to have it, I HAVE to have it lol.

same. unless it's something I absolutely can't find locally and that's rare.

Same here. There are a few shops that carry Al Fakher, but the rest carry Pharoah's, Jewel, or King Moassel (complete shit). Today I actually looked up smoke shops near me in an online directory, and gave about half a dozen of them a call. 3 of the calls went like this:

Me: Hello, do you carry hookah tobacco?
Them: Yes.
Me: Oh great, what brands do you carry.
Them: A few brands
Me: If you don't mind, could you list the brands for me?
Them: We have a few, what are you looking for (in an impatient voice).
Me: Al Fakher, Nakhla, Tangiers, Fusion, Romman, Layalina... anything decent.
Them: No. (hang up).

I'm not shitting you. I called three different places and thought that it was the same guy on the other line because of how uninterested he seemed.

phoning places that sell shisha almost never works well...when have you ever met a cordial and friendly smoke shop worker? the only places ive gotten good info from were middle-eastern markets and actual hookah shops.

I am from the middle east and I think that some of the rudest shop workers I have every met in my life were middle eastern. There are rude people from every race and place but I am just annoyed that some people have no clue how to run a people friendly business.

I work in customer service and I deal with the drunkest humans on earth (I drive taxi as a part time job). I have never been impatient with them, if I think that they are being asshole, I try to tell them as politely as possible that "I am sorry, but no you cannot smoke or drink in the Taxi, it is illegal" ..

I went to few middle eastern shops in Toronto (Name is Al-Nour i think) and looked around for the large ceramic bowls, then asked the girl at the smoke section, I had to wait for her while she is chatting away with her girlfriend. I could swear that she told her friend let me deal with this jerk. So she put s the phone on the side and rudely asks how can I help you? I said "Do you have any of the large ceramic bowls?" She takes a quick look behind her and without getting off her chair she says "No" and goes back to the phone. I was like wow. So I started looking around the store where they had Hookahs on display and found some bowls on the display hookahs that are what I was looking for.

A guy that works there walks to me and asks if he can help with anything, I asked if they carry any bowls that look like this. He says sure let me look - nice guy - He walks towards her counter and she says to him in Arabic, "Some people are too stupid to believe what I told them?" I was speechless. So I am holding myself back from saying something I would regret to this stupid #$#%$#% and the guy comes out with like 10 of them. SO I said to my brother infront of her, look some people are too stupid and lazy to move their fat asses and help their customers" She got so mad she almost killed that poor guy. hhaahaha

Anyways, long story short, I cannot believe people like this can sustain a business, and I am never going back to that store ever in my life.

that sucks. I say business is business if someone is too busy to fill your order time to go elsewhere

MN hookah has been a very reliable place and they also told people after that huge sale they had that they would be very slow for a couple months, give tarik a call and see what hes doing

I would try emailing vs. calling, I tried calling them for a whole week when I was waiting for my confirmation, and never a answer. Tarik eventually did reply to my email.
Anyway, like I said, I still love these guys and will continue to buy from them. I just think there should be a warning on their website, or some sort of notice. I mean, one shouldn't have to search this forum to know whats going on with MNH!

I agree, if I would have seen a warning I would have expected this. I liked their service before and that why I keep ordering from them. I already sent an e-mail and got a message saying he will ship it a couple of days ago, but did not get a tracking # or shipment confirmation. I hope that Tarik's new restaurant is doing great and I wish him luck. But would be a nice move to put a warning that they are busier than usual and orders might take longer to be sent.
