sportsfan6216
So, I had a friend shoot me a message because i'm the go-to guy in our group when it comes to hookah stuff. He told me that he just tried to order some shisha from a site (i won't name the site just because i'm asking an opinion not commenting on their service, it is a site we can talk about though)....... and they told him that last week a law passed prohibbiting the shipping of tobacco, including shisha to Washington State. I haven't gotten a chance to call another vendor to see if this is actually the case becuase i've been in classes for work for the last couple days but figured if this was actually the case someone here would know. If this is true this REALLY limits my selection, living in pullman my options are starbuzz, fantasia, a very SMALL collection of layalina (munchies is clearing their inventory of it) and prince (not the worst i've ever had but i've def had WAY better)Oh and just for a laugh my friend was trying to order Hookah-Freak....... I haven't smoked with him in forever so he still has a lot to learn..... hahaha. I did talk him into a Mya last month though which was a step in the right direction. I don't quite understand if shisha would apply though?

Rani
I suspect it's being read wrong. I appears to actually prohibit more than 3 pounds of tobacco being shipped to other than a licensed dealer. Cigars being exempted because they're usually sold by the box off the internet and the box weight would eat up most of the 3 pounds. The law actually makes sense this way because most regulated products are limited in large quantities to anyone not a licensed dealer.'Rani

Twisted
It means that you can't get tobacco unless you're a licensed wholesaler or retailer. The 3 limit is only for cigars, notice where the commas are. Before the statement about the cigars and at the end of the statement.

Santino
This wouldn't surprise me. Utah recently passed this as well. Damn states want their tax money.

Sonthert
Montana was the first, Utah did it a couple of months ago. I had heard Washington did it. I hope the amendment passes, so hookah tobacco will begin flowing in again. The main problem is cigarettes being cross shipped from state-to-state to avoid excise taxes. Its that damned Constitution of the United States prohibiting taxation of interstate trade. The states can't collect their revenue. They want to lock people into buying at stores in the state. If they try the same thing with sales taxes and it spreads to more and more states, internet purchasing may cease to exist, in fact. They can;t justify the stopping of people from buying DVDs from Amazon/com, though, it doesn't sound as sinister as minors buying tobacco.
