Lukasa
Thanks buddy I've been smoking with 3 kings for awhile, and now im definitely considering finding some new coals. But 3kings is the BEST coal my local shop sells, the other coal i tried from there was TERRIBLE. It numbed my throat and tasted weird.
Oggie505
I have used 3 kings and I like them, although I cannot compare to naturals since i have not tried them yet
aronparsons
Great review of the charcoals. I definitely plan to move onto something other than 3K after my 2.5 boxes are gone.
Sonthert
Luhnari gunpowder disks are cheaper and better, in my opinion.
inimicus
So, where do Golden Charcoals fall among Luhnari and 3 Kings? I have used Golden for a long time as they are the best quick lighting charcoal I've experienced. Trusted, you can say.I have half a bag on lemonwood, but setup time nearly doubles as I am required to bring out the mini propane torch to get them ready. I love the way lemonwood smokes. Aggie Shisha
I used my electric stove to light up the lemonwood. It was pretty quick and easy.
Buford
I'm going to have to try the Abu Haitham coal whenever I can find any (see Tangiers's review of those), but for now I'm going through my box of 3 Kings. Interesting note for users of 3 Kings and Tangiers tobacco - I've found the smoke quality to be much better by just using 1/2 of a 40mm kings coal instead of the whole coal. I saw them in half with a Swiss army knife's saw blade. Using the whole 40mm disc at one time just makes the smoke too harsh after a few minutes when smoking Tangiers. I suppose it's too much heat. HookaHebrew
ive been using processed natural wood coals, which means that they grind up the wood and and a little starch compound to hold it all together and shape them into a bar sort of shape which you can break to a desired size, im not sure of the brand name but the coals have no smell once lit, absolutly zero flavor and lighting them on an electric stove take about 2-3 min which is convenent to the time it takes me to pach a bowl and punch the holes. the best part about these coals im my opinion is that there is no gunpowder which ive read to be the most dangerous part of smoking hookah, and that they last longer than the disks with a more consistent heat. But this is just my experience with PROCESSED NATURAL WOOD COALS. not to be mistaken with pure natural wood coals
