I Broke My Base

Recommended Posts

I've been having a horrible past few days.

1. My job informs me that they've already paid me for my hours that I've worked (which I thought they didn't).

2. My rear driver's side window falls down and won't go back up. On top of that it just rained like the amazon. Sucks.

3. So I put my base with water in the freezer and fell asleep before I could take it back out. Woke up today and found my base in huge pieces. I almost cried...

So now here I am, unable to get a job due to a certain circumstance, zero funds, and freshly bought shisha and I cannot smoke...

FML

P.S.
It could be worse.

Well I normally dont but water in a base in the freezer and for future use I suggest putting in salt so it does not freeze but gets cold.

Sorry to hear abuot your run of bad luck but good things will come...it always does.

As for your car window if you have the time try to take out the interior of the door and push the window back up. Be careful you dont want to break the window.

what kind of hookah

This one -> http://saharasmoke.com/store/catalog/Sahar...h--p-17363.html

Tis the light blue one.

That looks like it has smaller gasket size, If you have a few dollars, trying looking around at hobby lobby.

Also, my roommate last year didn't have a vase for his hookah, so we went to walmart, bought one of those little water jugs, cut the opening a little wider, and used it, though the sharp edges did tear up the gasket. When I broke my vase, I found a few of the water jugs that had a 2" opening (I have a 34" KM) that would have worked just fine, but the jugs were a bit big, you probably could get away with finding one that you wouldn't have to modify.

When my vase broke, I made a PVC vase until I was able to find another, though it was a bit expensive.

I know those kind of days. I'd stick to useing ice instead of freezing the whole base, for obvious reasons. Hope things have improved.

I agree. Above all, endure.

Someone here may have one to sell for cheap.

Well man sorry to hear that but here's some advice if you'd like it.

The base can be salvaged for a few bucks, gorilla glue or super goo work wonders on a broken base I survived for 6 months on a repaired based that broke into a few big pieces

It can be hard to endure bad times, but I am a firm believer in things balancing out, so think of this as the rain (no reference intended) before the rainbow)

Endure, adapt, and endure

I got awesome news!!!

My girlfriend offered to buy a new hookah (another sahara smoke). But then my friend said he needed an excuse to get a new one and he will just give me his (sahara smoke)!!

But then, I found a 15 yr old egyptian hookah for $20 on craigslist.

After I brought it home, I cleaned it out, and was about to smoke it, until I found a air leak in the stem gasket. It seems it would have worked 15 years ago, but times have changed. I was bummed out until the girlfriend mentioned to try putting plastic between the vase and stem.

Needless to say, it worked like a charm!!!

I was so happy just to be smoking again, I smoked hookah-hookah cinnamon and liked it.

Thanks to everyone giving me support in such dark times. I know things could have been worse, but I'm glad this forum exists with the helpful people that frequent it.

I will try to get some pictures of it.
