Haz
I just found a load of 50g samples in the boot of my uncle's car. Its layalina and king. I really want to smoke them but the best before date is Oct 2009. Any risks to smoking it?
Svaals
I'd say if it smells like it's worth smokin', then it probably is.

Any risks to smoking it?I bought some Nak vanilla from my local shop on the super special (like 4 bucks a 250) because its use before date was sometime in 2007. smoked just fine with a little glycerin (seriously the driest nak i've ever seen). I'd say as long as they are still sealed its gunna be fine.
shisha fan
its fine as long as it doesn`t have mould on it. i wouldn`t smoke king moassel though, that stuff tastes like crap anyway.
mesa1
freeze the flavour to preserve whatever moist-ness and flavour content is left and when you want to smoke it take it out an hour or so before your session to allow it to defrost..your only risk is the harshness of the dry flavour.. Though the heat of being in the boot may have effected it. one way to find out.

Haz
Sorry, I meant to say October 2008. I'll probably try it. You go around chucking away flavour in a recession

Sonthert
If its sealed, it should be good. If its open ,the King may have stood the test of time better than the Layalina. Smell for smells of cheese, mold, dank, seashore smells, rotting smells, anything that smells bad probably is. I would imagine its fine. There was a time, my children, before hookah tobacco was dated to expire...it really has little bearing on it.
hookah hippie
It may be a little dry but if its unopened you should be fine smoking it

I have bought Al-Waha,Nakhla and other nearby Jordanian shisha at a 24/7 store that sells old shisha for cheap in bulk. We live within hours of the factories in Egypt and Jordan-its simply not sellable to America-Europe but its never been rancid or moldy ,far from it they are great and super cheap.I got 10 packs of shisha non-flavoured similar to Zaghloul from the Palestinian Authority which was five years old as a free gift and its great. He also gave me Jordanian "Bustan"("Garden Tea House") which was ten years old, okay, no bad smell, no mold, just didn't taste nice, but if I was hard up and empty I'll smoke it.
