New Goto Bowl

I tried out my new "one coal bowl" from Crown Hookahs last night
and have a feeling it's going to be my goto bowl! And I have a
lotta bowls (to go with so much shisha to try...)

Packed it full of Layalina Blueberry-Grape with foil and smoked it
for 2+ hours using 2 coals (1st-one CH QL and 2nd an eBay QL
Lemonwood) with the ugliest of all heat shields. I honestly
expected a short smoke out of this but it did an "energizer bunny"
on me When I went to clean it (next night), the "puck" was
STILL juicy and could have gone another coal!!! I can't wait to
do it again "formally" with HD foil and natural coals!!!

Even with the heat shield I was not really easily able to burn my
shisha! The most intense heat management came when the coal
was but pea sized and I had to fire up another one... 100% nice.

I had been leaning towards bowls with an unglazed inside (MYA's)
as I wasn't real happy with my double blown Pyrex bowls. This
glass bowl is "da' bomb!"

If you got the $ to spare spend it at Crown Hookahs on the single
coal bowl. I ordered their "Classic Bowl" at the same time, but
have to fire it up yet. I expect the same results out of it, but
doubt if I can smoke it out by myself... Par-teh bowl then!

PS - A short soak and a Q-Tip would make it "OEM" again, I was
in a hurry to tell the world (and had left it sitting out from last night,
this pic is after a quick hot water rinse/scrub.) Just lazy last night
from a great smoke.

So, I'm guessing the one coal goes in the middle, as far from the holes as possible?

Sounds like a sweet bowl. Where can you get these online?

I'm also glad you enjoy the bowl, the one coal was a conceptual bowl meant to last a long time with a tiny amount of tobacco, and bygolly, it works Also try nakhla through the crowns, its easily one of the better tobaccos out of it.

If you don't mind, try the other bowl out and write a review of it as well, comparing the two, curious how they smoke in relation to each other.

I am really curious how these compare to the mini...I have been bugging eric for a mini for months now, maybe I won't have to anymore. I bet Eric will be relieved he won't have to listen to me bugging him anymore.

I kept the coal on the bowl edge looking to heat the bowl. The foil covers
the holes so I didn't worry about them. The juice just heats away.

Finally had time to seriously dedicate to my new Crown Hookah Classic bowl.

It's a keeper!!! Smokes very similar to their "one coal bowl" I am happy to say.
I started with 2 CH coals and then added 1 + 1 (CH) as the session went on.
It's been 4 hours and the last coal I used was a Lemon wood QL (eBay). Got
to go cook supper now and I'm about smoked out (for now) I bet the
bottom of the "puck" still has a couple hours left in it! Too hot to look now.

Foil was Social Smoke heavy-duty, with holes made by a HJ Oyster fork on a
KM tri-metal. I used a heat shield as I run a lot of fans in this room... I
missed out on the mini-phunnel so can't compare to it Only a touch of
juice between the bowl and the grommet/gasket as I did pack it pretty full.
Nowhere near the juice lost on a MYA jumbo or a Pyrex bowl. +1 juice saved!
