First Tangiers Session

So my first Tangiers session last night was a complete success. Packed the bowl perfectly and the Lucid tasted amazing! It had that new hose taste to it so it wasn't to its full potential, but it will get there. I think the bowl was underpacked and not packed dense enough but nonetheless, the session was successful. Clouds of smoke and it lit right away. Awesome stuff.

Lucid is much easier to use then original tangiers, but either way congratulation on the good smoke.

Tangiers is some amazing stuff and it will piss you off not to get it to smoke. Congrats on 1st time success. I remember in my MYA QT..my parents went out of town and I smoked in my room because I was to lazy to setup outside and to this day Tangiers is the only shisha I've smoked in my parents house...it's that worth it haha.

i myself am a recent tangiers convert i recently recieved my lucid cactus fruit in the mail and it is awesome. I love the clouds and the taste is exactly like i imagined it would be! The bowl lasted forever i had to finish it the next morning after all my friends had left my house from smoking the night before

I don't only smoke tangiers but it is a regular smoke of mine

Once you are able to pack it correctly it is excellent tobacco

really, Eric? Is acclimation time the major thing that really separates the two? (minus the nicotine content). I've noticed that I can treat Lucid EXACTLY like OG, and it'll smoke great....but, I can't necessarily treat OG like Lucid.

For example, I am able to pack an egyptian bowl with Lucid sprinkled in...and get it to smoke ok. not great, but good enough to get a lot of flavor, but a bit rough smoke.

with OG, i tried this...i thought my face disappeared from buzzing so hard...and the smoke was insanely harsh.

does the extra molasses do anything for Lucid, besides acting as preservative for the lack of nicotine?

Its not lots of or little humidity that affects it, its how stable the humidity is. Hawaii is fairly stable (damp). It should be fine.

If you smoke inside (I don't know if gets as hot in Hawaii as it does in Florida), just acclimate inside and you'll be fine. The humidity inside stays pretty constant with the A/C on and this will let you acclimate quicker and smoke better.

Alrighty, it's time for this question then...how is the buzz in lucid? Is it nonexistent because it contains absolutely no nicotine...or is it just a washed shisha? I smoke with a variety of people, and sometimes I'll load up some nakhla because half of the people smoke cigarettes, but then the other half will feel sick from the unwashed buzz. I've never tried lucid, but I liked the buzz from OG because I've been smoking for a while. The only problem is that other people aren't as into the buzz as they are the flavor. Eric, could you fill me in on this? Or maybe someone else who knows a lot about the contents of lucid? thanks!! Edited August 17, 2009 by baumann

I think the amount of nicotine left in there is pretty small. So, it should have little or no nicotine buzz.
