May as well just go eat the flavor...a good sessions has flavor and smoke.

I am pissed at a session with no flavor, but would rather it have lighter smoke and more flavor then vice versa.

Hence, I will repack / relight with great haste when one variable is duly noted.

I don't see how solo smokers would be as concerned about smoke. Not saying I'm not if i smoke alone, but they don't have anyone to turn to and say, "Watch this."

I solo smoke quite a bit and still love huge clouds. I personally hate it and find it annoying when everyone starts saying "oohhh, watch this!" my response is usually "oh wow, a cloud, I haven't seen one of those before" in a sarcastic tone. That is, unless someone is making o's or some sort of trick.

For me, when I am smoking alone, I am more interested in clouds, but if I am smoking with a group (especially if they are people who usually don't smoke) I am more concerned with flavor. Usually new people are more impressed with flavor, whereas people who have been smoking for a longer time are usually more interested in the clouds.

Gotta have my Smoke Rings Flavor is just an added bonus but like most people said I wouldnt nearly smoke as much if there was no flavor. Great topic by the way Baghdad!

I'll amend and say when the flavor is fantastic, I'm less inclined to blow rings and just puff on it.

I constantly solo smoke, and need clouds or I'll redo the session.

The clouds are probably my favorite part.

Flavor is important though, but I find flavor can ruin a session a lot faster than clouds can so it can throw me off quite a bit too. Sometimes the flavor just goes bad, or like tonight gets "too good". Was smoking melon blend and it just got super sweet, starting to make me feel nauseous and made my sister sick.

Definitely can't have hookah without either of them though, they are both important.

For me its flavor but I also think that good size clouds add a (feel) to the smoking experiance.There are certain flavors of certain brands that will give you both.I like to have flavor and massive clouds.

I think largely it's the same phenomena as when it's cold enough to see your breath. You dont usually see it, so it's something interesting and unique. As we all know, people can be amused by simple things, a wisp of smoke, a candle flame, some silver on the ground. But I also think it's not the same as Delsol highlighted. I think people who havent been smoking as long are more interested in clouds and people who have more experience are more interested in getting the best flavor possible.

To me, it's 70% flavor, 30% clouds. The two are fairly strongly linked though in hookah. If you arent getting decent clouds, likely, flavor is suffering more than if you had bigger clouds. So you have an incentive to make the clouds larger.

For me it seems like the flavor is thicker when the smoke is thicker. I would rather have thinner smoke than burnt shisha. I would prefer thick and flavorful smoke to that, though.

Like most of you, flavor is slightly more important than clouds.

If there was no smoke, I doubt I'd be "smoking" hookah though. If it was all about flavor, I might as well eat a/an [insert fruit here].
