Aggie Shisha
Ok, I am a fairly big mint/menthol fan. In small amounts. This is where the havana menthol threw me for a loop. I really like the nakhla peach, and think they really nailed the peach flavor. Tools: 18" junior modern, modded base, with natural lemon wood coals on the first bowl, and a combo of 3 kings and natural on the second. Setup: The havana was really juicy, the Nakhla less so. The Havana had quite a few stems in it, and the Nakhla had very few. As a side note, I had a box of strawberry Havana and it had a TON of stems. I am not sure I was unlucky with the SB, or lucky with the menthol. I know most menthol/mint are pretty strong, so on the first batch I mixed about 2 grams of mint with 8 grams of peach. First Impressions: The menthol came through almost immediately, and very strong. It masked the peach. It was a good mint, but killed the other flavor. It didn't let up until about 20 minutes in, then the peach started to come through and had a good mix. I really can't explain this as I mixed them up pretty thoroughly. One hindsight note, when mixing a very gooey product ith a not so gooey one, perhaps the gooier one will cover and overpower the not so gooeier one. Thus, pat dry the gooeier one to match the gooiness of the other before mixing. Perhaps this would solve the issue? Smoke: 6/10. I didn't got a few big clouds, but they were few and far between. Better than average though, as I did get some of the "where did your face go?" clouds. Buzz: 5/10 Moderate buzz, very short lived, 7 seconds, but it was there. I probably would have stumbled slightly had I stood up quickly. Smoking Time: 8/10 I was impressed with the amount of time these coals and bacco lasted. I got a little over an hour out of these, and could have continued, but I decided to start a fresh batch as it was dying out. Taste: 9/10 The taste was great. After the mint let the peach come out of hiding, it was great, I highly suggest you try a mint peach mix. Meach was good flavor indeed and lasted through the whole session. Final Thoughts: All around a good smoke and worth purchasing a 50 g of each to have around to try something new. I give it a 7/10.
The Dude Abides
Thanks for the meach review. I've become a big fan of Havana because it tends to have lots and lots of flavor, so I'm not surprised that their mint was pretty potent. Also, interesting natural and 3 kings combo. Best of both worlds, perhaps? I tried a sample of Havana plum last night, it was great.
Aggie Shisha
Nice nick. Great movie and saying. Yeah, I really liked using both. I was able to move the natural around without it ashing all over the place and let the king just sit there.
TafaaHtain
Nice review.I got some nakhla peach today to try, and you're right, the flavor is fantastic. I got these great syrian coals which have also significantly enhanced my smoking experience. My only issue with the nakhla is it is rather dry and gets harsh and the smoke lightens within about 20 minutes. Does anyone else have this experience with Nakhla? I really wanted it to last as, again, the peach flavor is fragrant and natural.

Reducing the heat doesn't really help much except for the harshness; although, just looking at EN shisha, it is not nearly as wet as some of the "premium" brands.
