dizzbizz
Almost all the time I smoke outside. So I kept reading on windcovers and how they improve the coal life and heat distribution. So I whipped up a home made one out of an Arizona Iced tea can after watching someone do it in the 'How To' section.HOLY SHIT. It almost cut the amount of coals I use in half per bowl and the clouds were a whole lot thicker and bigger, just the way I like them. dizzbizz
If you use the AZ tea can just grab it down at the bottom. Its not hot at all. I had to tape some foil on the botton to give it more length so it would cover my phunnel.

Genie
I've been using a huge hand formed cylinder of HD foil as a wind cover for quite some time now. Won't smoke without it. I smoke near the a/c vent and it blows right on my hookah, gotta keep my coals protected! But I ordered a real wind cover the other day, I can't wait for it to arrive! If I'm not smoking through a Phunnel with my foil wind cover, I'm smoking out of a wind cover combo bowl, I love those things. Great heat management.
