My Washable Hoses

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,I made these washable hoses out of flexible shower hose (you know, for those detatchable shower heads.  There is a tough plastic tube that runs through it, and it can be washed no problem.Sorry for the not-the-best picture quality, since I took these pics with my cell phone.  Anyway.  These hoses are each a little longer than 6ft, which is a good bit longer than the standard hoses I was using before.  The thing I like most about them is that not only are they washable, but they look flippin' sweet!  These would look awesome on a stargate, methinks.I'm thinking about making a bunch of these and selling them for $20 each, if any of you are interested.Let me know what you think!

Haha, they look heavy but they're really not.  I use them with my small hookah all the time, and tipping hasn't been a problem

Thanks :)  Yeah, it's fully flexible.  And I've tested it and it's fully functional. and washable.  Did I mention washable? lol

Thanks!   I just sold one actually, to a girl who works at the local hookah shop.  I asked her to see if her boss would be interested in buying some more for use in the hookah cafe. *fingers crossed*...wish me luck!
Very cool looking.  I don't know about $20/pop, you can get some damn nice leather hoses for that price ;)
Yeah true, but I think these look quite a bit cooler than the standard run-of-the-mill leather hoses.
That's just personal opinion mind you, but I think others might agree.
I did some looking around on the various hookah shopping websites, and it seems the average price for washable hoses is around $15, and they look just like
regular old hookah hoses.  So for 5 bucks more, people could get
something that's really pretty unique.  That's the way I look at it,
anyway.
sweet i might be intersted
PM me if you really are interested
do they keep clean much easier than the standard washable hoses?no leftover chemical taste when you suck in air?
Cleaning is a breeze, just run some water (soapy if you want, but be sure to rinse well) through and hang over a shower curtain rod to dry.  I've not experienced any leftover chemical taste with these hoses
How are the wooden parts attached to the actual hose?  I might try making a couple myself.
The wooden tips are secured tightly with heavy-duty hot glue.  It's tough stuff, and won't come apart (i've tried).

do u just run water thru the wooden part as well?
yes, you just run water through the wooden part.  Doesn't seem to be a problem, as it all dries out.
Wow!  Did you carve the wooden ends by hand or on a lathe?    Just kidding.  They look pretty fresh.
Haha, i'm flattered but no, these tips are just from my old regular hoses.  I cut 'em off and fitted them to the new flippin' sweet hoses
