tinyj316
When I was doing my undergrad I made a couple poker tables for friends... real poker tables... not cutting a hole in the middle of an overlay...Its a pain in the ass to make some of them, especially the oval ones... but its a lot of fun.I wish I still had the octagon one I had... that thing was a beaut. Maybe if I get some money I'll buy another sabre saw and another air compressor/nail gun.If you want, I can post some instructions and a parts list, though I don't have any pictures of what I've made
tinyj316
Anyway... It wouldn't be too hard to put hookahs in there... you could either forego the cupholders and mount QTs in their cage under the table, or you could make mini shelves below to hold them... It wouldn't be too hard....
Tyler
Or get a poker table and put a side table next to you and put a hookah on it? Also keeps coals away from the burnables

HellCat
Haha that would cost so much money for all those hookahs... and tobacco and coals...tinyj316: Yes please put up instructions lol, that would be awesome...Maybe I could build a bunch of DIY hookahs (once I find a safe stem material) and the guest can bring their own tobacco, and I'll supply the coals (natural of course) by having a grill outside with a bunch of natural lump charcoal lit up hahaThis is gonna be epic if I pull it off haha
redjako
To me its the coals that are the problem in the middle of that table..it would be cool to have a giant old hookah, + a large phunnel like 5 feet away close to the hookah Handler (hah, handler), with giant 10 ft tubes for hoses poking out through the table..otherwise thats pretty sick. Make a Plexiglass cube (seal it with some sort of caulking), make a hole in the top of it so hookah stem can fit in it. Make 5 or 6 holes in the cube, put 5 or 6 plastic barbs in it, run 15 feet of vinyl tubing from each barb, and you have a multi hose stable hookah. HellCat
why not integrate it into the middle and have the coals covered? Like with a cut-in-half tea strainer ball secured to the top of bowl?

srawas89
I never really understood the whole concept of putting a hookah in table or integrating it in a table. Personally I would love for my hookah to be by my side. I can see some people saying to do it for the stability but just be careful and you should be fine....and if your drinking dont over do it because you will lose at the poker game and probably knock your hookah over lol. Anyway it would probably look really cool if you could make it part of the table but I would rather have the hookah sitting by my side.
