mattarios2
I always get too excited and over pack my bowls with my phunnel. When the juice drips down it sits on the grommet/gasket and in the inside of the bowl. The bottom of my phunnel is all dark colored and no matter what I try nothing seems to work.It seems the inside almost sucks up any liquids that touches the inside. I thought it might just possibly be stained but not causing loss of flavor? I think that could be a possibility.-I tried lemon juice-Baking soda-Just scrubbing the inside with a pipe cleaner that i use for my hookahs-A tiny dab of dawn soap (didn't want to use too much)-I tried boiling it for about 20 min (helped but is still prominently there)-Crappy vodkaanyone have a good suggestion?other than to stop over packing, heh. Thanks fellas
newjacksm
try letting it soak in white vinegar. i have the same problem with mine as far as juices dripping down, but I dont think its causing any problems when it comes to flavor loss..If the soaking in white vinegar doesn't work put the white vinegar in one end of the bowl and cap off both side and shake it around a bit Edited August 25, 2009 by newjacksm
Bulldog_916
You could try a mild bleach solution, leave it be for a bit and then scrub it out and rinse it very well. Bleach will take the color out of just about anything if left to sit a while.
Genie
I really doubt the stained Phunnel is affecting the flavor. But there's a product called Lemishine you can get at any grocery store. It's all natural and really does a great job on my hookah and bowls. Stings the skin a bit, it's basically citric acid, I think, in crystal form. Sonthert
Oh, you mean the clay INSIDE the bowl?Um...I use propylene glycol 25% in water. I don't think that will help you, though.
