Genie
After much longing, much research, and a great deal of hemming and hawing, I finally settled on the 31" Khalil Mamoon Kafae with the frosted flower vase from Hookah John. It's what I told hubby he would be getting me for my birthday! Celebrating my birthday a week early this year. The two runners up were the KM Carnival but Eugene at Hookah-Life.com was out of those and the KM Green Pear from HookahLounge.net which I may keep on my wish list. The Carnival too, for that matter. It will be a long while before I can splurge like this again though.Besides throwing in a base protector as a freebie, John also threw in a 50 gram box of Nakhla Basha Grape. Major thumbs down on that flavor. But, still, it was nice to get it. Thank you John! The Nakhla Basha Jasmine I purchased from him was an infinitely better smoke. The other half of my birthday present, various shishas, a tall windcover, some bowls, and extra grommets, will arrive by next week from Hookah-Life, I hope. The tongs, included with purchase, are the cheapest I've ever seen. Useless for coals, really, but turned out to be fantastic for picking eggshells out of a bowl full of raw eggs the other day. So, I guess I have a new kitchen utensil now. Love the cleaning brushes though.May review this hookah in the future, although it seems pointless. Come one, it's a KM. Y'all know all you need to know about them by now, eh? Crappy paint job, solid, fantastic smoke. There's a slideshow with all the close-ups if you care to look HERE. mushrat
Nice.I wouldn't go with HookahLounge.net as they have no PHONE NUMBER to call if there is a problem. So they can just blow off your e-mail etc. if you have a problem. Never trust a company that isn't professional enough to have a phone number so you can talk to a real person. Genie
Hmmm, annoying, problems with the slideshow. Tried to add a link to the album instead but it freaked out. I'll try once more. More pix, close-ups and such, HERE.

mushrat
well, if you trust him with your hard earned cash thats cool. But remember, you were ordering, not complaining. Why is the ball already rusted??And the welds on the underside and those 2 holes look kinda shoddy. I hope you enjoy it fully, but I'll be curious as to when it starts to break down. Pretty shoddy looking welding, I agree. But it's solid. Not a leak anywhere. And if I put the diffuser on the downstem, it's quiet as a mouse. Need to build myself a little in home studio for portraits or, well, photos like these.
Jeff_T
Congrats on the new KM and happy bday as well. I'm looking into getting one of these (Kafae) in the future, so I'd like to hear what you have to say about it after a month or so of use... I guess I could replace the clay ball with a ball bearing or a bb and maybe it wouldn't. Doesn't really bother me though. So far, I'm very pleased. But I'll definitely keep you posted. And thank you! Nice hookah too I understand that we don't have a phone number for support yet and how Musharaf might be skeptical about it. I don't recall a single unhappy customer with us. I make sure all emails are answered and all problems addressed right away at all times. Cheers,
