godfatha
Any idea if you can use natural charcoal one would use for grilling for hookah use?
Cornellius
Natural coal is the best, carbonised natural is good as well. I do not recommend quick light ones, not even three kings... Best is natural charcoal but it takes much more time to light them and a good heating source.
yashman19
Hmm, not exactly sure if natural coals designed for grilling are the same as natural hookah coals, but if you're talking about typical bbq briquettes, then I'd say no. Too much crap in them, and you will prolly not make it through your session alive :)But like I said, I'm not sure exactly what natural bbq briquettes for grilling are compared to typical bbq coals. Smashraj84
I think he's asking if you can use BBQ charcoal and the answer is yes, if you want to die. NEVER, EVER use charcoal you use for grilling, they put all kinds of additives in there.
ataneja
haha, yeah, definitely do not use kingston bbq coals. i know somebody on this forum mentioned about how they used it when they were desperate to smoke, by letting the chemicals burn off for awhile. but if you're that desperate to smoke, i'd recommend trying to quit for awhile
godfatha
no i didn't mean bbq briquettes but rather the natural wood charcoal. it looks similar to the lemon wood or olive wood for hookahs. i just got started smoking so i am not sure about this stuff. also where is the best place to order shisha and coal online. my hometown isn't very diverse so no access to this stuff in stores for me. Sonthert
I wonlt advocate it, but many people do use natural charcoal that is sold for BBQ purposes.
