GI JOE,well no suprise exactlly what I expected, good special effects, lots of action and no strory,About as good as the X-men films in my opinion.solid C+
Disterct 9,Well they didnt give you much in the trailer to go off of.But After It was all over a pretty neat movie bounus points for being different.maybee a week C at best but was interesting.
Ingloreous bastards,I like it,pretty good alot of dark hummor,Pretty brutal visually not for a week stomach.Terintino films are usually pretty good in my book And this one is up there with his best works.A solid A-,I might have to go see this agin to fully appreciate it.(so many movies suck these last few years) Edited by twoapplesplease

Inglorious Bastards :

A-

This film was deff entertaining.
Don't expect it to be historically correct. It's a movie...
It had one hell of a strong opening.
The cast did a good job in this movie and is one I'll be watching a few more times while in the theater. I don't buy to many films but this one will be in my collection.
With the corky Tarantino style of chapters and the bloody violent style of visuals. This does it's job.
I have been quoting this film since I watched it.

"We're in the Nazi killin business, and let me tell you business is boomin!"

and the one I've been using at work a lot;

"No...I'll probably just get chewed out, I've been chewed out before."

Only movie I've seen lately in theaters was also Inglourious Basterds. I really liked it, pretty much as with all Tarantino movies. I'll def need to see it again to catch everything though. One thing I just thought about was, was Tarantino in this movie? It seems rare for him to not play some kind of role in a movie he's written/produced/directed Edited by Jeff_T

  • 3 weeks later...
just watched 3 movies this weekend.
1-surogates staring bruce willis-Good movie, I liked it,I would have too rate this one pretty high I would say a A--.Almost as good as inglorius bastards.

2-white out-staring some hot chick-Not all that good but started with great eye candy and had a bit of suspense mystery too it I give it a C.

3-jennefers body-staring some hot chick-Your basic highschool demon possesed cheerleader movie.Nothing suprising here. Its about as good as white out I give it a C.

I go every week... running out of things to watch though sad.gif

District 9: A+
Fresh concept, good cinematography, finally a movie where CG looks natural. Not sure if everything made sense but it was good enough for me. Might go see it again when I run out of new movies.

Inglorious Basterds: A
The whole premise is plain wrong, but it's an entertaining popcorn-flick. Pleasantly surprised by Brad Pitt. Too bad all the characters are flat.

9: B
Amazing CG, but the plot is paper thin. And the ending... what was the point exactly?

The Informant!: A-
Entertainment that lets you wiggle the brain... but just a tiny little bit. I was laughing out loud at the corporate intrigues and agent 0014. Solid performance by M. Daemon, as expected.

Oh yeah all the rating are high cause I don't go to watch shitty movies (check rottentomatoes before heading out).

Next week: Zombieland ^^
Also 2012 looks amazing in terms of visuals.

Last movie I saw was called "I hope they serve beer in hell" It is a limited release. The movie is based on Tucker Max's blog and best selling book of the same title.

You will either love it or hate it. I loved it.

Is this movie half a good as the book? If so, I think it'll be hilarious... Tucker Max was on Carson Daly the other night, pretty interesting.
I'm stoked for Zombieland, I'll be seeing it this weekend. Edited by Jeff_T

Saw Zombieland last night. Great movie, would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I laughed, got a little grossed out, and laughed a lot more.

Solid A+ movie in my book. Would definitely see it again smile.gif

Whip it ! = A+ for me... but I am bias since I Play roller derby. So for general public.... B

Fresh Setting.
I like that Drew did not use the prettyiest people she could for actors.
She wanted it to be as NORMAL a feeling as possible so people could relate.
The shots were all very artistic and colorful.
The story was relateable, and the motto of the film..." Be your own Hero " is AWESOME.
It gets the point across very well.
