l0aded
Been smoking for a few years, starting with some random bad hookahs that friends passed on to me. eventually settled down with a mya saray QT which smoked well and lasted me the last few years (still going strong). now i am moving into a new house with some friends and i was looking for a new large hookah to decorate/use with the new house. was looking into the KM talj abyad as posted in the other thread: http://www.hookahcompany.com/talj_abyad_km...h_3970_prd1.htmit looks good but i was wondering if anyone else had any recommendations. main criteria would be large, multi-hose, looks good and smokes well. thanks! p.s. not really concerned about price, as long as its worth it and not too extravagant! fcbayern
Anything KM is a great hookah.. The trimetal are beautiful in my oppinion, but thats only looks.I would suggest a 3 hose over a 4 hose simply because of the fact that the 4 hose model doesnt have a purge valve. Chiefin
I would opt out of the multi hose. I had a similar multi-hose KM and sold it... basically, the people holding the hoses that are not in-use have to cover the tips so that it's actually hittable. Essentially, the open hose tips act as leaks in your hookah if someone doesn't have their thumb over it. Not sure if that makes sense, but its a pain in the ass if you constantly have to tell someone to cover their hose tip. Ultimately you will end up just putting plugs in two of the hose ports anyways. Might as well save yourself some money and just buy a one-hose.
fcbayern
YOu might want to try a nice MYA, if a multiple hose auto seal hookah is a must for you..
K1024
for a multi-hose hookah i would go with any of the larger myas. I have a 4 hose mya obelisk and it smokes fantastically. myas have auto seals in the hose ports so that you dont have to cover up all the hoses when someone smokes.for a single hose i would go with any km model...they all should be good. then get a lazy susan and put that under the hookah, bam now you have a rotating hookah. teox
that auto seal stuff seems like it can get really annoying with alot of people smoking, especially if they are new to hookahing in general. i think we're mainly looking at the gyro or colossus from mya now since KM doesnt have the autoseal feature. or if there is a way to make it autoseal using DIY methods that would be great because that KM looks awesome! the white really makes it look pristine. Zinite
Go for a large Mya Saray hookah. You can adjust them so they have 1 to 4 hoses.

thehelios
Don't deal with a multi hose if they don't have the auto seal purge valve. Waste of time and annoying to check if every other person has their hose closed off just so you can smoke.

I've never had a problem with someone forgetting to cover. I have a 3-hosed MZ and even with strangers once you inform someone they gotta cover, that's it, they remember to cover and it's not a problem past the moment you hand them the hose. teox
to be honest i find that people usually learn to default close thumbs if you tell them to just always keep it down unless you are smoking. someone else also said that non-autoseal has better flow. judging by the replies in this thread i think OP and i are going to get a 3-hose of some kind, just not sure if we want mya autoseal or that gorgeous KM! vtec4me
So I'm looking for a new hookah as well.I did a search in regards to my similar question. My apologies to the OP for hijacking this thread, but didnt think I should start a new thread just for the same matter.I decided to step my Hookah game up and get me a KM here shortly.I have a couple of questions though:1) Is there a difference between 2 hose and 1 hose of a KM? -Reason I ask, I notice majority of the members here, have 1 hose KM.2) Are KM hoses washable? Like running water through the hose to clean them?3) I'm looking into getting a Trimetal KM, still debating on the 2 or 1 hose of course. but was wondering if this is a Trimetal series as well http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-5251-geb-kh...oon-hookah.html And if i was going to get a 2 hose, i was looking into this http://www.thehookah.com/khalil-mamoon-2-h...rimetal-34.htmlany thought/opinions on my choices? or suggestions. vtec4me
also, if i do decide to get a 1 hose KM, can i later get an adapter to change it to a 2 hose?
joytron
1. I enjoy passing the hose, dont really see a need for two hoses. Two hoses means more places for leaks, and you have to plug the end of the hose not in use. (unlike myas2. Not washable3. Shop around more someone got one on ebay caravan trading for really cheap. Check out hookahjohn and gothookahs.4. You cannot add another hoseedit: geb is not a trimetal Edited September 13, 2009 by joytron
