Guest www.genuinehookahs.com
first and foremost I have no problems with anyone at this forum besides mushrat...he has nothing better to do with his time but to bring up old posts and provoke me...I have said it before and I will say it again...my feedback and powerseller status on ebay speaks for itself...over 2000 happy customers..I only post here to defend my company...quite frankly there is nothing for anybody to complain about...unbeatable prices, fast shipping, and good customer service which is why I have people coming back for more and more...maybe you should be saying something to mushrat and not me..he brings it all upon himself, it would have never started if he didnt have a stupid comment to say
kilgore trout
Being relatively new to this board, I don't know many people on it. But one of the things I have noticed is that Mushrat is one of the most respected members here. By attacking him, you are only digging the hole deeper for yourself and for your company. I wouldn't bother plugging your "unbeatable prices, fast shipping, etc" anymore as you seem to have pretty soundly driven away any potential business you may have gained from forum members by acting in such an unprofessional manner. DownZero
Is it me or are these posts debating about businesses and their choices sort of tarnishing this forum? I mean, I realize I haven't been here long at all but when I first started posting.. it was one of the first forums I really enjoyed because people were very respectful and helpful and no flaming or arguing.. just plainly opinion orientated and simple hookah conversations... now recently a lot of posts have been made revolving around businesses and contain the business defending their own. Well just what went through my mind while reading the recent replies on the thread... Peace
mushrat
I'm sure my wife would be amused at me being called a gay southern hick... Im actually a fairly well educated North Carolinian with an advanced degree and the ability to help people like yourself demonstrate to the rest of the world their true natures... I'd say you've done FAR more damage to your own reputation then I ever could..I merely gave you the oppertunity to do so. Good of you to oblige. As for your Ebay feedback, It's your handleing of people with complaints thats most telling. While an occasional seller myself and i know some buyers are just plain nuts, I find it telling the way you react when people have something bad to say about you. I also find it interesting that many of your negatives have been removed by mutual agreement. I guess thats what happens when you revenge neg someone in return and they want to clear their name as well? Personally, I'll take one person here with a legitimate complaint over 1000 automated positive ebay feedbacks any day. And your reaction to the legitimate complaints HERE has generally been pretty standard. And Down, while what tobacco is best and how to clean your hose is important, which merchants to trust is just as mportant as many people can't get the stuff locally and must rely on the internet for their shopping. Without discussions about what sites are actually reliable, and which ones are not, there's no way to really tell at first glance. Though I can suggest a few things to look for. 1) Does the site have a phone number? Remember, you are sending MONEY in hopes that you get goods. If there is only an e-mail address or a send us a comment form, WHO are you going to talk to if you don't get what you paid for? Even more important..WHO did you really just send your money and CC info TO? If the site has a phone number, CALL IT! If you don't talk to a real person after the second try (leaving a messege with a machine the first time isn't bad, things may be a bit busy) then you MAY want to go else where. 2) Does the site list an address? See above. 3) Does it look professional? With as cheap as web sites are to develope these days, if the site looks sketchy, imagine what the people running it are like? 4) DO they actually have a business site at all or are they merely a front on Ebay? While Ebay is a great place to find some real deals, unless its an extension of a real company, WHO do you have to complain to later? We all know Ebay is not exactly good at policeing itself. BUYER BEWARE! There are too many reliable, honest sellers out there to waste time with people who MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be legitimate and MIGHT or MIGHT NOT send what you paid for. Remember, It's only a great deal if you get what you actually paid for. I yield the floor...and ask a 3rd or 4th time, (anyone notice he's not answering a simple question) if you are in so tight with Mr. Badawi, why don't you get your Mya's directly from him? I find that quite curious...
Guest www.genuinehookahs.com
I never said I'm "so tight" with Mr. Badawi. All I said is he will vouche for me when I say I am a legitimate company selling legitimate products.
steve07
Look people the name calling has to stop! Maybe a few of you need to reread the rules of this forum. Mushrat you need to stop getting baited by this individual can't you see he is trying to discredit you you've been on this forum a long time don't fall into that kinda trap. And genuine you need to get over it you should be able to take constructive critisim to improve your buisness because calling people names and making derogetory comments aren't going to get you anywhere. I won't order from you now just because of your behavior on this forum. Now the both of you just let it go!
MR Bubble
I've been circling around this thread for several days now. Sometimes I dump my cookies and just don't bother to log on when I visit for a while. Actually, it's quite an entertaining thread going and I'm enjoying it. For all the new folks here, who haven't witnessed any drama yet, rest assured. You ARE on the best hookah-related forum in cyber world. Just like any family out there: it goes through periods of drama. Hell, even on Leave it to Beaver there was periodically dysfunctional drama every now and then. It doesn't matter how often it happens. What really matters is how they kiss and make up afterward. THAT's the key. Now Genuine, I'll try and be gentle here, but I believe you need to kiss our butts. Now, the reason I'm saying this is because of allegations raised about products not being shipped out to paying customers. THAT has been mushrat's central theme on this thread. While I have always been DEAD SET AGAINST this forum being a staging area for a company's marketing campaign, I still stand by the businessman, because I realize the "life or hunger" gamble a private business owner faces. Therefore, I am all for defending one's self if he/she feels they have been defamed. I think the only problem you are having is defending yourself against the allegations of not providing product for money. Can you rebut that? Will you? Everyone else: it was not nice to call him a Genuine prick, or call Genuine a prick, or whatever... I've never heard of such behavior here in the war room. If he really was a scammer, he wouldn't respond to any of these accusations at all. However, on his site his Nakhla shisha is overpriced.

Lakemonster
Man.... Thats a shame.... I have heard the argument against GH in the past..... and now I must say that from GH's attitude here has shown me enough that I dont want to order a single thing from him. Why? OK. so his detractor has lodged a claim against him... instead of laying out the "facts" from his side of the story, he has resorted to name calling as a knee-jerk response. Seems like a good time to "clear the air" with some facts..... evidently a missed opportunity Sure, its hard taking guff or criticism sometimes....... even BS when it comes along. BUT! professionality is key, if you want to run a reputable business. Ive seen enough in this thread to form a position..... this guy does not have MY interests in mind as a customer. I also remember when GH's hookah shop on Yahoo dissappeared for a spell...... strangely, at the same time there were reported claims against him. Go figure. Who needs that flame attitude from a vendor?
surfpico
Exactly. I mean who even needs vendors? Damn the man, save the hookah!
