Majid
I don't know, they are not dedicated hookah sellers and quality Turkish pipes tend to be more properly decorated. Never bought a pipe from them though, did buy a jewelry box as a gift wich was shipped properly if that counts for anything. twoapplesplease
Yea they have some properly decorated tourist looking nargiles but there are some real looking ones as well.It looks as shipping is the killer though.About $50 bucks for a nargile.Still not to bad I like that one in the top picture for $62 add $50 shipping $112 bucks not to bad same as my KM without shipping.Probly get a deal on a big order. Purplepotatoe
I have used one of those hoses before, efing amazing. Only real problem with them is the part you put into the hookah is long as hell so if its not on a bigger hookah prepare for tipping, and yes the one I used caused tipping on the QT we used it out of. newjacksm
I dont think its worth to get. Shipping costs about 90 bucks because it comes straight from Istanbul. This is DHL shipping. You can get normal Postal Service shipping but it says it takes 2-6weeks to deliver and you know the base is gonna arrive broken. twoapplesplease
$ 90 will cover the cost of shipping 3 hookahs air mail brining the shipping cost to $30 per nargile(3kg-4kg).I just need to make a few freinds.I bet they package these well because they also sell $10,000 dollar hand made silk rugs I bet they know what there doing. Spats
QUOTE (twoapplesplease @ Sep 10 2009, 09:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>[attachment=4088:GNRS0115Ziron.jpg]Anyone ever order from www.yurdan.com?I came across there website and was blown away by the turkish nargiles they have for the price. Some do look cheaply made but some look very solid.I realy like the look of the oxidized Iron nargiles.IRON sounds solid. They got no purge valve seeing as there turkish but hey I've used the purge on my KM I think twice.I think I might have to orded a couple from them.Great pricecheck out these nargiles.I bought 2 of these pipes! One is the large Oxidized Iron (center) and the other is a small ceramic vase (left of center) pipe. Both are very nice looking!Prices are great but the shipping IS a killer. They were well packed in bubble-wrap in a cardboard box and the box was then encased in a thin nailed together plywood "crate". Well done. Both pipes use adhesive tape to supplement the rubber vase seals. I had to remove a turn of tape as it was very tight. The hoses are OK, the larger hose having unfinished wood ends.I've smoked the Oxidized Iron and was quite pleased with it. The bowl has a male fitting and requires some wet paper-toweling to seal it. The "heat shield" is a plus. Vase is good quality glass. The finish on the heart is nice although it has some blemishes and there are some corrosion spots on it. The inside welds are good, but there is some corrosion on the outside of the hose port. Nothing is forever or perfect. The finish is very "old" looking compared to the usual stainless/chrome/brass/copper colors.Lack of a purge valve was not a problem. If you can get past the shipping then I'd say go for it! 'Prolly inbetween my AF heavy and my KM tri-metal. I am happy with it.It seems as you move East in the world or into smaller ethnic areas (non-mass produced) the bowls change to the male configuration. I dunno if they'd be able to supply a female bowl... Hookah John has some nice male bowls!Give it a try!
twoapplesplease
[attachment=4107:GNRS0128Zheavy.jpg]I thought male bowls were gonna be hard to find but there not.I hear these turkish pipes are great for nakhla.Between a KM and AF on the draw sounds good. They look solid and I just don't see anyone else really selling turkish pipes.Hopefully they will become more available as the hookah world expands and demands more traditional pipes.Personally I think traditional pipes are great I've had a few mods and no way did they smoke like my no name syrian brass or KM or random handmade solid egyptians.check this one ,weighs in at 10.6 lbs and is 37 inches tall
