krzleb
Hi Everyone!I'm thinking of purchasing the 38" Khalil Mamoon Ice really soon.I was wondering if anyone has it and what they think of it.Thanks
Zinite
I have it, and it smokes beautifully. The ice chamber doesn't really have a noticeable effect. It just looks really cool. It's my best smoking hookah (even better than my smaller KM).
krzleb
Thats awesome!Do you use a phunnel bowl?
Purplepotatoe
The KM Sig is a hell of a pipe in its own right. The ice chamber honestly isnt that big of a deal at all. If you do want to use you will need to either coat it with something or do something so it doesnt rust.
Zinite
Yes, I use a medium phunnel or Tangiers/Nakhla and a small phunnel for everything else.

The problem with using ice in the hookah is that it cuts down the flavor. The colder the water, the thicker the smoke, the more diminished the flavor. The hotter the water, the thinner the smoke, the more intense the flavor.
Brandon`
Zinite, Then whats your technique for having good smoke and good flavor? Using cold water no ice? Using room tempature water? What do you use?
Zinite
Room temperature water. I've tried hot water from the faucet, ice cold water from the freezer, water with ice in the base, ice in the base and ice in the ice chamber. Sure cold smoke feels good, but the best flavor/smoke combo is room temperature water out of the faucet.

smoothvirus
I have one, it's my first hookah, and I've had it for about a month. I have been experimenting with different materials in the ice chamber. Most of the time I have been using ice + salt, but we experimented with dry ice + 91% rubbing alcohol, which worked quite well.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwfaFBdssYc...re=channel_pageNext thing to experiment with is going to be the dry ice + alcohol in the ice chamber and lukewarm water in the base. Next time I get together with Phil we'll test that out. I also plan on doing some experiments with the flammability of the dry ice + alcohol mix. My guess is that since CO2 is a fire suppressant it won't be flammable, but I'll need to test it and find out.
Stuie
I have one and love it. The Ice doesn't add much but the look is very elegant. Haven't been smoking my big pipes lately but it's not one I am going to get rid of soon.
