Hookie The Hookah
Title says it all, I need to know where (if anywhere) I can get some natural coals in NoVA because my normal go-to guys (al nakheel) are out of cocos and have been for a while now. Barnaby
sorry bout that.. I just got some cocos from them too maybe a month ago.. I don't know where to get cocos anywhere else... the smoke shop near my house carries romman lemonwood coals, but that's all they way out in Stephen's City, like 1 - 1.5 hours from Vienna.. You could always call around to smoke shops, to see if they carry any. You'd think the hookah places in Alexandria would (like Oasis), but I dunno.. just throwing ideas out there.. AKammenzind
Any local BBQ supply places? Perhaps even a larger grocer might have coconut coals. Really it seems that most any coconut coals will work well, whereas normal lump charcoal is sometimes not dense enough to work well depending on the source. Barnaby
hmm.. that's a good point.. I bet either a small hardware store (like Ace, or a TruValue), or something like Whole Foods might have coconut coals for BBQ.
