indian_villager
I do understand the resilience of borosilicate glass. But even a diamond can be shattered with a light hit at the right spot.

poncho
Yes, it is resilient, but its still glass. Also how many of you have ever had your stem fall on the floor? I never had and i've been at the hookah for like 4 years. I dont really think it is an issue if it can last a fall on the floor, and I will be the first to tell you, that if you drop it on the floor it can break. Im not going to say if it will or not for sure because i have no idea. I also dont think you have to be any more careful with the glass hookah than you do with a metal one, just dont drop it on the floor! chromecarz00
How tall is it? How much was the etnire rig? It is so beautiful. I want it. I think I may have to get one, just for the simple elegance it has. I have a favor to ask though. Can you take a video of the first few hits of the bowl, of the stem? Specifically of it filling up with smoke from having none. If I see that I may just fall in love and have to get one.Beautiful man.

Jabbles180
OK. I got some smoking pictures. Now it was still a bit windy so most of the shots just show the initial blow out of the smoke, but I know that people were asking for some smoke pictures so i did the best I could do for now. redjako
Any noticable air leaks (whilst pulling) between all of those gasket-sealed pieces?
poncho
They are perfectly ground fittings for scientific use. I buy them preground, so they all fit together perfectly. They are air and water tight when attached so there wont be any leaks.QUOTE (redjako @ Sep 15 2009, 10:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Any noticable air leaks (whilst pulling) between all of those gasket-sealed pieces? Jabbles180
With what poncho said yes all the pre-made connections are air and water tight. The thing is there is a little pull through on the purge valve. What i ended up doing was taking some fine grit sand paper and sanding the purge "cap" so that the connections would fit better. Before I did this there was a sweet spot where no air would pull through but im not a fanof trying to find it and worrying about pushing to hard on a glass to glass connection. Simple fix no complaints just thought i would put that out there. If this little whistle did effect the smoke it was not by ver much. I had it at my friends house with his KM smoking beside it and the clouds seemed identical. Its really like smoking a KM but looking at something much more interesting. With how much KM's are going up in price these glass stems seem to be a close option in terms of what you get for your money. Only thing I've done wrong is I wasnt careful taking out the downstem and chipped it a little as it was able to tilt and hit the side of the vase. Its no biggy as im planning on getting a longer downstem from poncho anways just thought i would once again give everyone my findings as I rigerously test this thing haha.
