Okay, Ive currently got around 80g of sheesh in my stash atm. And i dont start my new job til next monday, so i thought i would share some ways to make your little stash go as far as it can. (seeing as how ive been in this position many of times)

First off, as much as i worship my phunnel bowl im staying away from it. Cant afford to throw everything ive got into one bowl. Stick with a small egyptian or a mod bowl for the time being. If you learn how to pack and manage these bowls then you will get nice sessions out of them with minimal shisha loss.

Second, Master your heat management. Try as hard as you can to distribute that heat so that it wont burn your bowl, after all, that one bowl means your that much closer to having nothing.

Windcovers.........nothing new here i know but they work like a charm when smoking on a budget. Plus they will save you a decent amount of coal if you use them correctly. Adding and taking off as needed will make your bowl more stable and keep you going that much longer.

I know most of us already know this stuff, but hopefully someone will find this useful.

I smoke that way all the time to avoid getting low on shisha supplies.You said it all yourself.Smoking's not cheap.Now what I have done in the current economic downtime is utlize my egyption conservation bowl witch is my norma bowl and Personaly I think it smokes better than anyother bowl including phunnels.(but than agin I must have used it over 3000 times and have it masterd)Also how ever much I like coco coals either coconara or CH they aren't the right size for the job 1 is to small and 2 is to big and breaking them in half and using 3 halves is more of a pain than its worth to me.So I'm using 40mm goldens hey whatever I think there great they start fast last long you need only one and most importantly they give off very little taste.
